~~~Name: Kir
~~~Gender: Female
~~~Race: Daten
~~~Age: 27
~~~Age in Earth years: 5,874,561 ((The human years are so small compared to Datens, that to a human a Daten could be considered immortal))
~~~Home Planet: Datinomia (Dat)
~~~Birthday: On Earth, it would have been June 7th
~~~Job(s): Invader, Healer, and Warrior
~~~Family: Her mother Tiz, her father Gashem, brother Nib, sister Fay, and mate Chir
~~~Appearance:She has light blue skin, stands about 8ft tall, and wears a long black gown that has the Daten symbol on it. She has antennae that when straitened, would be 2.5 feet long. The end curls upwards about 6 inches, making a swirl. Her eyes take up most of her face and are blood red, though as she gets madder, they get darker until they're jet black. Her teeth, like most Datens, are razor sharp and white. She doesn't smile often, and normally looks depressed.
~~~Personality: She's snappy, sarcastic, moody, and unpleasant. She rarely shows her soft side, though when she does, she can be quite caring. There's really only two or three things that get her soft side to show -she's either on a LOT of medication, with her mate in a calm area, or someone puts a baby in her arms *GASP, gentleness!*. Kir is considered dangerous and is emotionally unstable. She doesn't know how to express any emotion other then anger.
~~~History: Kir grew up with an overprotective mom. She wasn't allowed to play or train with other Datens, and was forced to take medical classes. Tiz's plan was for Kir to become a healer, and stay safe. That wasn't what Kir wanted though. She would sneak out at night, and try to watch the adults train and practice. Climbing the wall to see them proved hard at first, because she lacked the physical strength. But after trying several times -and breaking her ankle several times- she managed to get to the top and watch. She started trying to stand up on the wall and mimic their movements as they spared with swords and knives.
But someone spotted her. Kir lied and told them that she was allowed to come outside at night and she simply wanted to practice her balance. The warrior knew she was lying, but offered to teach her anyway. So Kir learned and trained in secret every night, slowly but surely improving. Her mother noticed her tired behavior though and how on some days Kir would be almost too sore to move, so she found a way to make sure that Kir was locked in her room at night. This angered the growing Daten, and lead to many heated arguments. After a while, Kir decided to trying to train herself for the time being, working out and running a little faster each time her and her older sister, Fay, would go the medic bay for lessons. It wasn't long before warriors and invaders began to notice her physical fitness, and began to wonder who she was and who her family was. They would ask her, but her horrible social skills made it hard for her to talk to anyone. The males about her age began to notice her as well, and would try to make a move and show off. Kir ignored them, but of course, once her mom found out, she forbid Kir from going outside for fear of what might happen. This annoyed Kir to no end, and several times she tried to run away, but was found and forced to return. Living indoors, with limited access to anything other then TV and medical books slowly lead to depression and restlessness. She wanted to run. She longed for freedom, for action. She locked herself in her room in hopes that her parents would decide to change their minds. They never did.
Staying inside with no one she could fully and truly confine in left emotions to pile up inside her. Years worth of pent up energy and so many locked up emotions left her irritable and bitter. When she was 20 and finally considered an adult, she moved out right away and rented a room in a cheap hotel until she could find someplace better. She began the search for the Daten who had trained her in secret all those years ago, only to find out he had been killed in a battle. She became mad. That Daten had been considered her friend. But her need for action and adventure lead her to look for a new trainer. No one was willing to train her for free, and she didn't have any money to try to hire anyone. So once again, she settled with sneaking around and watching the younger ones trained in the academy. Until of course guards found her sneaking around and arrested her. In prison, she got into many fights. It didn't matter if it was a guard or an inmate, she simply wanted to feel her claws sink into flesh and feel that rush of excitement of being in combat. When her family finally got enough to bail her out, she went looking for more trouble. She had learned a lot in prison, and wanted to try it out on other races, to see if anything she learned would be useful as an Invader. It took 7 tries to get them to allow her to become an invader-in-training. She learned how to use weapons other then a knife, and grew a love of lasors.
In the time of intermission before the invasion would begin, Kir started to try to build a cross between a laser an a dagger. She failed several times, making her more and more frustrated. To tell the truth, Kir is a sore loser. She wants to win, to be the best at everything she does. And that's when Chir came in. He started to show her the problems in her original plan -much to Kir's annoyance- and decided to help her make it. He did most of the work, showing her how to do certain things, before he gave her the weapon. She acted like it was nothing and was stupid and ugly, but inside, she cherished it.
After invading the planet she was assigned -failing a few times and getting some nasty wounds- she decided that wasn't enough. She wanted more, so she started warrior training. Half way through that though, her health started failing. She found it hard to breathe and couldn't eat without throwing it back up. Doctors said once they cured whatever she had that she would most likely never be able to invader a planet or be a warrior. That devastated her. She gave up her dreams and became a healer. Her brother was born a few weeks later, and Kir tried to teach him the fighting skills she knew. But he held no interest in it. He wanted to be a healer. So Kir sank back again, sitting in her apartment and watching action movies and the news. Chir soon came back into her life, and they shared an apartment together because neither of them could afford their own. Kir didn't like that, and would often refuse to acknowledge his existence
She was the first to move out. That's when she met a warrior named Pip, who slowly began to get to Kir to open up a little. He started retraining her, telling her that it didn't matter what the medics said and that she could go back to doing what she loved. She was hesitant at first, not wanting to face the disappointment of failure again, but became more confident as time went by. Their friendship bloomed into something more as they trained, and Kir finally started to show a softer side. So, as fate had it, Pip was killed in a battle. A few weeks later, Kir's older sister was murdered. Kir went into hiding, wanting to get away from all the questions and her mother and to just get away from reality. When she came back, she was very different.
She was no longer so curious and lively. She didn't sign up for warrior training, didn't go to any physicals, nothing. She ignored everyone. She became violent, lashing out at anyone and everyone. Only her little brother, Nib, was able to get to her. He tried to ask what happened when she was gone, but she refused to say. It was many years before Kir became a little more lively again, and was offered the job of invading a newly discovered planet called Unipor. She would be teamed up with Chir on this. At first, she protested, claiming she could do it without his help. But in the end, the two went off together. As they worked, they began to depend on each other -though Kir would never admit it. When they returned to Dat after a succession mission, they moved in together as friends. It would be cheaper, anyway. But as the years went by, they became closer until finally admitting their true feelings. At first, Kir felt like she was betraying Pip, but Chir understood and gave her time. It took a long time before she accepted that Chir was the right one.
~~~Weaknesses and Flaws: She hates to lose or to be proven wrong. She's emotionally unstable, almost always angry, and very easy to annoy. She holds grudges for a long time, and doesn't know how to express her feelings.
~~~Strengths: She's very determined and pain tolerant. She loves challenges, stratigizing, and thinking outside the triangle (boxes are boring!). She's smart -sometimes- and can be very independent. She'll look death in the eye, swear her vengeance, and if she's scared, it doesn't show.
~~~Enemies: A lot, including gravity, roots, and vines. =/
~~~Likes: quiet nights every now and then to watch the moons and stars, lots of action, adventures, and winning
~~~Dislikes: loud noises that aren't part of a war -aka, dropping pots and pans, slamming doors, screaming that isn't caused by her...-, having nothing to do,
~~~Fears: Kir's biggest fear is losing her brother or her mate. She's also afraid of anything living thing that's bigger then here, other then the lizard/dragon thing she rides on, Nuru.
**human coming soon**
