Genevieve nodded. "I know this sounds crazy, but I want to go on one." she said, then touched her diadem's gem that rested in the center of her forehead.

Genevieve shrugged. "I just...I feel like I would be of more use to the camp out there than here." she said and looks down at her burger. She wasn't really hungry anymore.

"I know... It really sucks... but we still have to keep living... I mean, look at me... I ran away from one boyfriend and the other disappeared just like your girlfriend did. But I can't afford to stop living, even though i'm... s-scared..." She shuddered. "I have someone depending on me, and you do too. If you stop living, everyone else will be lost too."

Matt sighed gently, then looked down. He wished he wasn't a useless little kid.

Hailey went outside and sat near the barn door, she felt lonely, she had almost no friends other than Shadow, Chip, and of course Brian. But he slept most of the time for reasons she could only guess at. She sighed and tried to lick her nose, and failed, she tried over and over for about 20 minutes before being able to achieve it.
