"....." she was lost for words, she got up and climbed up higher into the tree. She thought about his words and shook her head "I will enjoy going back, but not swimming... next cargo ship that comes im going on it, wether a prisoner or a stowaway... and yeah, this collar is my life, it belonged to Fang, he saved my life... I carved out theyre names, Debby and Mike, into it, so that even if i lose my heart or my mind, ill always remember them. I've lost all of them, even my parents, they didnt love me. I dont feel sorry for myself, i dont even care if i die. I might sound selfish but all i ever wanted was an escape from my past, but i know ill never get it.." she whispers to herself and knew that she did sound selfish and that is sounded that all she cared about was herself... she sighed and watched the sunset, she couldnt wait to stowaway on that cargo ship, and nothing was gonna change her mind

"So Ren.." He asked forgetting she had asked him a question. "Wanna hang out tomorrow? You know, because the sun is going down and I dont want to make you walk home in the dark." He shrugged. "Here, " He said standing up carefully and steadily. "I'll walk you home." He finished his sentence.

she growled to herself and picked out a large leaf. she pulled out a black marker and wrote on it, then sent it fluttering down and it landed on jacks head, it read "Im sorry" after she had done that she looked up at the moon and sighed

Ren stared blushing again. "I would like that," she said as she stood up carefully . "And I think it would be fun to walk home with you." she said as she confused herself and started to turn a deep red. "Sorry if that confused you." she giggled as she put her palm to her face.

Jack didnt look at the leaf. "Well when your ready to come down and talk about it, You know where i'll be." He growled and stomped off. His tail hanging low in shame as he thought of the moment just now. Fighting with a 14 year old. He sighed. It took him a good twenty minutes to walk home.

Shade smiled. "Well..." He held out his hand for her. "Lets get off this log." he grinned. His tail swishing as he leapt off and onto the bank. "I live just off the side of the moutain. How about you?" He asked as he held out his hand once more for her. Ready to take her any which way she wanted to go.

She stuck her tounge out childishly and sighed "Almost 15!" she muttered and sighed, she knew he wouldnt let this up until she talked to him "Fine..." she lept down and ran after him "Your not gonna stop being a dark raincloud over my head until i talk to you, huh?" she looked at him, her brown eyes half open with a skeptical look. her tail wasnt wagging and her ears were pricked

Ren took his hand. "I'm kind of new I don't really live any where." she said as she touched her collar with her other hand. "But I did find some homes that were pretty close to here." she said with as smile as she jumped to him. Ren dropped her ears and pulled her hand back and sat down by the bank. She watched the reflection of the moon in the water and smiled at it and it's beauty.

"Nope." Jack replied simply. "You can have as much time as you want. I wont bother you again until you do, so go ahead, sit in your tree. That's fine by me." He shrugged not stopping to look at her. "It is totally your choice how you live your life. Nobody is stopping you from moving forward but yourself." He truly believed that. He turned back to face her. "Isn't that why everybody came to this island? To move forward?" He asked before walking on. "Just think about it." He smiled walking into the dark of night as the sun slipped away.

"Well come on." He knealt down next to her. "By the light of the moon, I will help you choose a place to night." He grinned. His ears twitching to the sound of an owl overhead. His tail wagging. "No worries. It's never to late..." he smiled pleasently and offered to help her up. "If you're tired. I will carry you." He offered.

she sighed and looked around at the empty houses, she noticed one that seemed to stand out and she climbed up, ignoring the rope ladder. she pulled it up and walked in, flicking on the light. It was empty, except for a bed, a kitchen, and living room with a bean bag chair and a few art supplies. She closed the door and locked it, then she walked into her room and locked that door too. she curled up into bed and yawned, Jacks words echoing into her mind as she slowly fell asleep

Ren smiled and room his offer to help her up. "I'm not tired." she said as she stood up. "But thank you oh so very much for the offer." she said as she pulled him up lightly. "And thank you for helping me find a place." she said as she hugged him lightly. "That is very kind of you."
