"I don't, but Bre might," Cody said. He picked up the girl. "Don't tell me you can walk," he said before she could protest. "I'm Cody, what's your name?"

Keira was a little shy, but she managed to get her name out with out stuttering. "I'm Keira. Nice to meet you." She awkwardly put her arms around his neck to keep from falling out of his arms.

"That's a pretty name," Cody said, smiling down at the girl in his arms. He walked her out of the water and sat her on a rock near the river. "Here, soak your ankle for a bit."

"Uh-uh, thank y-you." The shyness had returned. The cool water numbed the pain of her ankle, and relieved her of the heat of the day. "So... why are you here?"

Cody shrugged. "I'm an adventure seeker and a world traveler," he said.

Keira nodded. 'Cool! Another adventurer!' She thought, but she kept her cool. "Yeah, me too I guess. I like adventures." She was lying to his face, but she didn't know him enough to tell him...

"Cool." Cody grinned. "So what're you doing on the island?"

"I just needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life." She said, trying to sound like that was the truth. She wished it was the truth.

"Oh," Cody said, suddenly at a loss for words.
