In the Arena

The Arena

The Cornucopia is at the base of the mountain, so that tributes can choose either the forest or mountains to escape too. The mountains slope down into another beach, which you can't see in the picture. The entire arena is a small(ish) island.

Food
This is a list of all the leaves, berries and fruits growing in the arena. They will come in handy if you can't get any food in the cornucopia! (You can look these up if you wish)
Nashi- A type of pear, however it looks more spherical than pear shaped
Momo- Peach. Normally white. Eaten raw after peeled
Budo: Grapes. Normally a dark, purple colour
Mikan: Mandarin Orange
Wineberry: Similar to raspberries, but when orange they are sweeter
Tea leaves: Recognised by the small white flowers growing on the plants (good for tea)
Shiso: A leaf used in cooking (beefsteak plant to some Americans)
Japanese Knotweed: Can be eaten raw or cooked, better cooked.

Satin

Satin smiled as she stood on her metal plate. She had one minute to choose her weapon, and her first target. To her right was the small boy from three. He would do. She waited for the countdown to finish...
5...4...3...2...1
She charged towards the cornucopia, and grabbed the set of throwing knives from the middle ring and threw one towards Jett. It pierced him in the chest, going through his heart. Killing him.
One down, twenty two to go.

Jett

Jett watched the other tributes nervously, watching for his tributes. Joy was on the other side of the cornucopia, and Balieese was a few tributes away from him. When the gong sounded, he ran for a first aid kit but stopped when a knife entered his chest. Looks like that's the end for him. His dead body dropped to floor. The first one to die.

Joy

When the gong sounded, she ran. She was good at sprinting, and managed to grab the small bag. She then ran further into the cornucopia, and grabbed the blow dart gun and both packs of darts. Shoving the darts into her pocket, she also grabbed a knife on her way out. Joy then headed over to the forest, to wait for her allies. She didn't realise that one had already died.

Eric ran to the cornucopia, and grabbed an axe. The girl from district one threw a knife at him, but missed. Using the time where she tried to get another knife ready, he ran for the mountains.

(the next two characters aren't mine, but pandalolo has asked me to role play for her)

Jay watched as Satin killed a boy with dismay. Why were the other careers so ruthless? It just wasn't fair! Not wanting to kill anybody, he managed to grab the daggers and leave a few deep scratches on Eric, but the boy had seemed unfazed, as he was concentrating on getting away.

Athena for the bow, successfully picking one up and getting a set of 15 arrows to go with it. She then managed to grab the green bag and she headed off into the forest.

(yeah not my best, but I'm painting my nails! Cut me some slack guys!)

Athena ran towards the woods in a hurrythe wind whistling in her ears and adrenaline pumped through her. She didn't want to be caught by a career.


Jay looked around he grabbed the Blue pack from the middle ring. He headed to the other careers on the other side of the cornacopia he watched them kill and kill and kill. It made him sick.


(thanks gui-chi i'm going to bed now XD. Are your nails dired yet?? LOL)

Balieese
I ran after Joy, heart racing. I looked over hearing a thud. "Jett.!!" I screamed, tears flooding out of my gentle blue eyes. I ran over to the body, and plunged down onto my knees, letting my head fall onto his chest I lifted my head up, looking at Satin, Jett's murderer. "I hate you.!" I screamed, grabbing a three throwing knives off the ground beside me, and one out of Jett's chest. "I'll kill you sometime-" I was cut off by searing pain in my shoulder. Whipping around with the very last energy I had, and bit the inside of my cheek. I recognized that face.
"What do you want, Sahara.?" I breathed.
"You dead." Was his response.
Before he could continue, I stabbed him in the foot with a throwing knife, crawling towards the mountains helplessly. Only three daggers I had now. "J-Joy..?" I managed quietly, before I passed out.

[Gui-Chi]

Joy wandered around the forest aimlessly, knife in hand and gun at the ready. Where were her allies? Were they ok? What if they were hurt! Or dead? She shook her head. They would be better off dead. Then she wouldn't have to think about killing them. But if they were hurt. She'd have to help them! And what if because of that she died?

Sahara
I grabbed a large spear and a red backpack, then I saw Joy's ally. I felt bad, but I plunged my spear into her anyways. No mercy I reminded myself.
"What do you want.?" She whimpered.
"You dead-" I lied. Then, She stabbed my foot and crawled off while I was distracted. I swore, and limped off into the woods, backpack slung over my shoulder, and spear in my hand. Soon, I found a large tree to rest beneath, and opened my pack. Bandages.!

[Gui-Chi]

Joy had spent her time in the woods hiding in the trees, when she saw Sahara. Hanging on to a branch with both hands she dangled in the air to talk to him "Sahara! Have you seen Jett and Baileese anywhere?" she asked casually, a hint of concern in her voice. "I only caught a glimpse of them at the cornucopia! And then I lost them!" She complained

[Gui-Chi]

Eric looked over his shoulder to see Baileese, covered in blood and unconscious. He sighed. Eric was a good person, he just hated careers. So he walked over to the young girl and pushed her slightly, before running to the cornucopia. He stayed at the edge of the fighting, receiving a few minor injuries, and grabbed a bandage. He then returned to the girl. He was too polite and modest to remove her shirt, so he just tied the bandage over the shirt as well as the wound. He then bent down and picked her up. He was hardly going to leave her to die.
