(And now, Zelda Silverwing presents an original poem. I know you read this, Frosty (I'm calling you that now!) but I would still like to post it here for public viewing.
After
After, we were stunned. A shocked silence engulfed the air.
After, we were still. Still, because it wasn’t fair.
After, we were broken. Shattered when we knew.
After, we were despaired. Despaired, because it was you.
Tears were shed; there was a cease of laughter.
We all changed, changed then after.
How could we ever recover? How could we ever restart?
It’s hard to do when you are torn apart.
But it had to be done; we had to see it through.
We recalled, of course, that it was a wish from you.
We all came together, united as one.
So that your wonderful work would not come undone.
Things are better, better than before.
Perhaps this has all opened a new door…
We hope what we’re doing would make you proud
We’ll make sure your efforts hide behind no shroud
Inspiration, imagination, on that we can agree
Is what you have given us, and for that we thank thee.
After, there were struggles; there were times of hard.
But because of you, we’ve turned a new card.
You will forever live on, you and your world.
And after, a new story has already unfurled.
After, we are ready. Ready to move ahead.
After, we remember. We remember you, Edd.
