There was once a cruel ruler of the Daravons that wanted nothing but power. He fed on it, he lived in it. He would sacrifice the ones he loved (if he had any) to gain on it. His name, was King Darlamon, and he was the first and only ruler of the Daravons. He searched even the most barren places on the edge of the world to gain power. Finally, he found it.
He found a book, in a small house in Alak, a desert, with an old man and an old woman. He killed them both without hesitation and stole the book. The book was called Old and Forgotten. It was a book filled with old artifacts and where they could be found. Darlamon’s first goal was to retrieve these artifacts and sell them to gain money, but then he came to a page, a picture with an old book. Darlamon normally pays books no attention, but he knew that this one is different. It was brown, old, and withered, the cover with blue streaks along the edges. A skull was in the center, with a black snake coming out of one of the eye sockets. It was called…the Book of Beyond. As Darlamon read, he became fore interested. He read that the Book of Beyond is an old book that was made when Arlamore was just created in the beginning of time. It was created by the Lore Seekers, an ancient group that created powerful items to do great deeds. Some of these include the Ring of Revenge, filling the wearer with a new found rage. Another is the cloak of creation, which can make any normal object appear out of thin air. Then there is the Book of Beyond. It is an ancient book that can control the minds of the weak to do it’s biddings. It has a mind
of it’s own, for it can think, talk (telepathically)and can control minds. But the most important of all, it could destroy anyone it wanted to. Or whoever finds it. It is said that the Book of Beyond can be found with the Shade.
So he continued reading, totally unaware of the watchful eye of the pseudo dragon, part of the Lacramosas. The little dragon has been following Darlamon, waiting to see what he was up to. When it found that Darlamon wanted the, he sailed all the way to the City of the Havens, to the Guild of Wizards, to Lavarin, a powerful wizard that is the head of court. The dragon told him the story and Lavarin sent his most trusted fighters and wizards of men and elves to destroy the book once and for all, but when they got there, Darlamon was already there with his army and a big war started. Darlamon went down with his army and the Lacramosas won. They destroyed the book by putting it in the bottomless abyss of Charig and it ceased to exist, until now. It has returned and only the Chosen Ones can end the war for good and bring peace to Arlamore forever.

Mordrig was born 50 years ago, he has elven blood, so he can live longer than most humans. His mother was named Eliziera, and she was half elf. She died, giving birth to him. His father, was Marcus. He was a gifted swordsmen. He bested almost every fighter in Arlamore. But one thing he didn’t understand…was love. He treated Mordrig brutally. Ever since Mordrig was young, at least 3, he has been training him with the sword. Mordrig was whipped, slapped, kicked. Mordrig never went to school. He was born into a wealthy family, so he just had servants to teach him. A brilliant boy, he was. Then, his father died when he was 15 by some horrible disease and he set out on his own.
He went from city to city, trying to find a suitable opponent. His travels led him to the capitol of Arlamore, Valhalla. There, he went to the arena and thoroughly destroyed all his opponents, but one. This man, he was facing, was brilliant. He and Mordrig were evenly matched. His opponent, was Bastian. Mordrig began to worry, and started to cheat, using the dark powers that his father had taught him. He used magic to slow down Bastian’s attacks, and he bested him. Bastian, had vowed to give anyone that bested him, a book. Mordrig opened the book, that told of the secrets of power. There were many wondrous items created by the Lore Seekers. In this book, were 10 wondrous items. The most powerful of these, was the Book…of Beyond. He wanted it so bad. His lack of love as a child probably caused this urge for power. Though, while he slept, the book was stolen by Lacramosas. So then he gathered his friends, wait, not friends. More like slaves and raided them.
The Lacramosas were deep in the Alak desert, so they thought they would be safe there, but they weren’t. Mordrig ended up finding them and he slaughtered them all. He scoured there fortress, looking in every library. So he looked in the general‘s quarters, General Bristletongue. There, he found a locked chest under Bristletongue’s bed. Of course, Mordrig used simple magic to undo the lock, and inside, was the book. He stared at the book for hours, learning the secrets of power and where they could be found. For years, he has slowly been gathering them, the wondrous items. Now, the last and most important thing he needs, is the Book, of Beyond
