Ki looked at the open vent then at Kaala. "I'm gonna test the vent. if I don't make it back, my backpack and sword is on 21st street in an alley way near the woods. I want you to keep the backpack and that sword. That sword was my father's so take care of it." Ki climbed into the vent and disappeared.

Ki changed into her cat form. The vent was small so she had trouble scaling it. Thank god the air isn't on. she thought.
