Evaira was alight sleeper. She often woke to light, slight noises, and even small vibrations. This time it was the sun's warm glow. Her eyes blinked open, golden in the sunlight. She slowly got up and looked around. She spotted Anya in the tree and joined her, Checkers chirping in greeting.
