Aliyah paused next to Varias' small space, looking at him carefully. Elijah walked up behind her and ran into her, sumbling back. "Oh sorry," he mumbled. Aliyah smiled to herself.

((changed name Rbrightside/to this))
Once upon a time at the foot of a great mountain,
there was a town where the people known as Happyfolk lived,
their very existence a mystery to the rest of the world,
obscured as it was by great clouds.
Here they played out their peaceful lives,
innocent of the litany of excess and violence that was growing in the world below.
To live in
harmony with the spirit of the mountain called Monkey was enough.
Then one day Strangefolk arrived in the town.
They came in
camouflage, hidden behind dark glasses, but no one noticed them: they only saw shadows.
You see, without the Truth of the Eyes...
The Happyfolk were
BLIND.

Varias felt Aliyah and Elijah, but didn't do anything. He looked at the small fire.

"Brought you some bread." ALiyah said, throughing it at him. "Thought you might like it with your cooked bunny. Elijah has cookies, if you're nice he'll share with you."
"Aw, my cookies..." Elijah whined. Aliyah waved a hand at him, dismissing the complaint.
"He'll share," Aliyah said again.

Varias looked at her with a strange look. "Thank you, but I don't like cookies... Want some meat?" he asked.

"No. I'm fine, thanks." she said, falling silent. Elijah set his cookies down on a stump and walked over to Varias casually, sitting next to him and picking up a stick, poking the fire curiously.
"What's your name, Demon?" Aliyah asked him.

Varias looked at Elijah with his eyebrows raised. Other people would run away from him... He heard Aliyah. "Huh, sorry?"

There they were... a pefect batch of cookies, away from them, on a stump... he could sneak up and get them... no... he had to sneak up and get them, he was physically starving! so there he went down the big maple tree, he slowly snuck up to the stump...
reaching out for the cookies... whilst they were conversing...
