[Light.The.Lamp]

Jayden leaned himself back down to the couch therefore slowly pulling away from their kiss. "You are just simply amazing" he smiled his green eyes flashing up to Eves' golden eye.

Aubrey felt even worse now, she had worried Xavier, which was not something she had wanted to do. "Everything has been taken from me." she said softly, as her tears fell down her cheeks. "A normal life, my family, my sister, and...." she paused to catch her breath. "I don't want to lose you xavier, I don't want you to leave no matter what happens, I don't want that lest thing that has been given to me to leave. I don't want to be alone ever again. i don't want to see you go to protect me, becasue you are the only thing that is keeping me sane." She stoped again. "You're the only reason there is right now for me to be here. I don't want you to go away, not ever."

Eve touched her finger to Jayden's nose lightly.
"Why are you telling me this when there is a wonderful guy in front of me?" Eve said slyly with a small smile.

Xavier let his head hang with a small sigh. His dark bangs fell in his face as rain water slid down his cheeks.
"I don't control the future Aubrey. You know I would never want to leave you, but somethings are beyond me." Xavier couldn't believe Aubrey had worded what he didn't want to hear. Her telling him not to leave. "I'd hate to break your heart Aubrey, but I can't love you if you are in danger." Xavier looked down at her through his bangs. He suddenly felt so much like a coward. He couldn't face her without something to place between them.

Jayden chuckled, "Well now that is something I don't have a very good explanation for!" he smiled.

Aubrey shook her head lookin down at the pavement, she couldn't look up at him anymore. "You can't love me if I'm in danger?" she said almost angred. "I would think that if I was in danger, that would be the time I needed you the most." her voice shook a bit." And you figure that it would be the best tome to just leave?" she asked trying not to let her vice crack.

Eve giggled slightly.
"Well than we must be at a lost." She smiled brightly as her wings shimmered in the fate light.

Xavier mentally slapped himself. Now he had gone and just made it worse.
"No, no Aubrey I don't mean it like that." He tried desperately to fix it. "I can love you if you are in danger just I'll be too worried about you, I'll always love you. Nothing will change that. You in danger would mean that I would choose to save you." He paused, remembering her last words. "I would leave if I wanted to stop the trouble before it happened, Aubrey." Xav placed a light hand on her shoulder.

Jayden smiled. "That we must!" he pulled Eve closer to him. "Either that or you're so just beautiful I cant think of anything else."

Aubrey sniffed a bit, picking up her head and trying to meet Xaviers gaze. "But if you don't want to leave and I don't want you to, than why do it, I would rather be with you and in dangor than alone and worrying about you." she said softly.

Eve rolled her eyes with a wide smile.
"Thee, Jayden, thous art very corny." She laughed, not even sure if she used the right tenses. "But I love it about you." Eve lightly touched her lips to his, he was too handsome not to want to kiss every second of the day.

Xavier's green eyes darkened sadly to a medium shade of emerald.
"Because I'm afraid I won't be able to stop whatever is out there." He said in a low monotone.

Jayden chuckled as Eves lips gently rested on his. "And I love you for accepting my corny-ness and seeing the sort of sweet side to it."

Aubrey looked up at xavier, standing on her tip toes, she resched both hands up to gently hold on to either side of his face. "Xavier, face it, you can't stop everything, it's impossible. Not being able to stop something from happening will never change us, no matter what it is that you are worried about Xavier, You can't stop it from happening. Leaving wont change that."

Eve beamed at Jayden.
"It wasn't hard to do." She shrugged as if it was nothing. Truthfully, it was quite easy to love Jayden. He was so open with her that she could relax around him. It was bliss.

Xavier's eyes didn't lighten.
"I know that, but I'd have to try before I just gave up." Xav protested. He had to admit, Aubrey knew how to argue even if it was with him.
"I'm not going to act like danger isn't out there. FBN can't hold me forever." Xavier finished quietly but forcefully.

Jayden chuckled. "Oh sure," he smiled. "Don't flatter me! I know I'm not as amazing as you think I am."

Aubrey shook her head. "I know neither us believe on giving up with out trying, but right now Xavier, you aren't trying. You want to run from the problems because you wnat to save me. Now I'm compleatly flattered, and I thank you for think of my safety, but think about it. If you don't trust FBN with both of us here... than when you leave to save me, what says something else will happen here that you could have prevented?" she asked. "And you left to save me from something that might or might not happen."

Eve pursed her lips thoughtfully.
"Don't make me slap you." She was far from serious, in a way, but she couldn't hold her laughter. "Accept the love." The angel added with a smile.

Xavier felt his eyes darken dangerously. His demon-half was obviously excited by the frusteration blowing around, but Xavier simply straightened up away from Aubrey. His eyes trailed away from her. He had to admit that Aubrey had a point but he felt himself growing proud.
"I'm aware of my strength, but I can't just stand by and watch destruction happen." Things grew uncomfortable."I've caused too much of it."
