A queen of ice with a fiery temper.Eira (Eye-ra) Christalle (Krist-elle) is the ruling queen of the fearie nation. At the young age of twenty, she grew up rather quickly when the responsibility that comes with the role of Queen was tossed into her lap upon the assassination of her father just two years earlier. The humans around them normally go throughout their entire lives without even suspecting the existence of fearies. Fearies look just like the rest of the world, the only difference is the power that they hold. Although many choose to live among humans, most live in or near the established court. The court is made up of many generations of nobility starting with the King and/or Queen of the nation and branching out to Dukes and duchesses, Counts and Countesses, maids in waiting and the Queen's advisers. Among the court is also a small militia of men and women who act as security for the court and then a sub-group of four men assigned to protect the ruling King and/or Queen. The court resided in a large castle hidden in the mountains by charms from human eyes.
Though most humans are unaware of the existence of fearies, there are some who're trained to hunt them. Why would fearies be hunted? Their blood is said to contain healing properties that can even reverse aging for humans. This blood is the reason fearies' lifespans are so long. Aside from their blood, fearies are hunted quite simply to be placed in collections; whether their wings are used as a display or the entire person themselves sold on the black market as a supernatural-based slave. More and more hunters are being made out of humans and the nation is starting to fall to its knees against them. Eira and her court is under constant security and her normal one guard has been tripled to three. This situation has put the ruling queen in a tight spot where most of the court are beginning to doubt her ability to rule. Men and women are vying to take the crown by either winning the ice queen's heart or taking it by force and manipulation. (Which can either take place by tricking her into falling for them or blackmail)
Characteristics and abilities of a Fearie:Fearies are normally tall with small, pointed ears that can be hidden by hats and prosthetics. Their eyes change with the seasons glowing orange ringed with chestnut brown in the autumn, blue ringer with pale white in the winter, Green ringer with yellow in the spring, and red ringed with orange in the summer. They has insect-like wings that melt into intricate tattoos stretching down their backs when they need to be hidden and grow out to a wingspan of 3-5 feet when fully grown.
Fearies possess enhanced speed and agility that gives them a large advantage in a fight against a human. Skills with weapons, however, varies depending on the fearie and their training. While many fearies prefer modern fire-arms, certain fearies still use archaic weapons such as crossbows, archery bows and arrows, spears and swords.
Certain fearies possess affinities for one of these three elements(Fire, water and earth). More often then not, this affinity is for water and is put to work in healing after and during wars. Fearies who possess an affinity for fire are normally assigned to guard nobility or fight in the militia. Fearies who possess an affinity for earth are put to work for defensive tactics or architecture as they can quickly manipulate the terrain around them. The castle itself was said to have been built by a fearie with an affinity for earth.
Social standing of a fearie:Although the nation is ruled by a monarchy, the decisions of the court and nation are decided by a counsel of advisory that are overseen by the ruling monarch. Everyone wants to be at the top and will stride for their desired place through force or marriage. There is not specific gender pairings among fearies as that is a human concept. Although Fearies have two separate genders(male and female of course), genders serve no purpose in reproduction as fearies are born by water and telepathy. Fearies are water-based creatures and created through a mix of elements and the memories of their parents. Each and every fearie has assess to every memory and secret of their family that reaches back six generations. Although gender doesn't matter in a marriage, the class system plays a large role. For instance, it is prohibited that a member of the royal family become romantically involved with one of the royal guards, or that a member or nobility marry one of a lower class. It is also prohibited for a fearie to involve themselves with a human. Defying these laws can result in punishment as small as social ridicule or as harsh as execution depending on the situation.

Basics:AlchemyThe ancient metaphysical science/mystical art of manipulating and altering matter by using natural energy. The proper application of this craft requires not only a full understanding of chemistry and ancient alchemical theory, but also a sort of natural talent towards recognizing and manipulating the physical objects with energy, which require uncommon levels of intelligence and aptitude. Those remarkable individuals capable of studying and practicing alchemy are known as "Alchemists".
Comprehension - Understanding the inherent structure and properties of the atomic or molecular makeup of a particular material to be transmuted, including the flow and balance of potential and kinetic energy within.
Deconstruction - Using energy to break down the physical structure of the identified material into a more malleable state so as to be easily reshaped into a new form.
Reconstruction - Continuing the flow of energy so as to reform the material into a new shape.
There are many paths by which alchemists can transmute the various substances of the world, with some alchemists being said to transmute by way of the Four Classical Elements (Water, Earth, Fire and Air) and some by way of the Three Essential Principles (salt, sulfur and mercury), but the basic tenet at the very foundation of all alchemy is that of Equivalent Exchange. Additionally, though no machines or equipment is needed to produce the energy necessary for transmutation, merely understanding the sequence of transmutation and the limitations of Equivalent Exchange is not enough. Just as the processes of "Comprehension, Deconstruction, Reconstruction" and "In order to gain, something of equal value must be lost in return" are cyclical concepts, the circle itself is the foundation of alchemy.
State military:
The State Military is the name given to the armed forces of Amestris. The Commander in Chief of the State Military is the Führer.
Some alchemists become State Alchemists and join the military are automatically given the rank of major within the rank structure of the State Military. Ever since Father came to the country over three hundred years ago and taught the area's inhabitants powerful alchemy, Amestris has become one of the most powerful countries if not the dominant military power in the known Fullmetal Alchemist world.
State alchemists are given titles that consist of a specific adjective to describe them or their preferred form of alchemy and followed by the title "alchemist"
The state military is not just made up of alchemists, there are other, regular people scattered all through the military as the state alchemists or more used as weapons in the wars than anything else. The military has branches all over Amestris, staying as close as central where Roy Mustang leads his small group, and stretching as far as the Brigg's Mountains where General Olivier Mira Armstrong resides.
Homunculi:
The seven spawn of father who take on the characteristics of the seven deadly sins they're named for. Their hearts are philosopher's stones and each displays great power as well as their own individual abilities. Example being Envy's ability to transform his shape into anyone he wishes or Lust's ability to grow her fingers into long spear-like blades that can slice through almost anything. They all answer to a man known as father and all display human-like traits. They boast human intelligence and emotions, taking pride in their existence as higher beings, but feeling humility and gratitude toward Father for having given them life. As a result, these Homunculi are largely devoted to the completion of their Father's grand plan (with the exception of Greed, as he defects twice).
Chimeras:A Chimera, as understood in the Fullmetal Alchemist series, is a creature synthesized by alchemically "marrying" two or more dissimilar living beings into a new, complete form displaying attributes of its "components". Though a legitimate branch of bio-alchemy, chimeric research has seen very few significant strives in Amestrian history - or at least in recorded history - and has been described as a science built upon countless dead ends and false starts.
Human Chimeras:Alchemic mixtures of animals and humans created in lab five. Most of the chimeras had sworn loyalty to Greed and then paraished by the hands of Fuhrer King Bradly, but some are still said to exist. Chimeras take on the traits of the animal they're fused to in both personality and physical traits.
Plot:Takes place around when all of the generals are being herded to central and replaced by Bradly's men where they'd normally reside. Riza has been promoted as the Fuhrer's assistant and the rest of Roy's men have been scattered across bases while he's been transferred to Central along with Olivier. The homunculi are steadily picking sacrifices as Father's plan progresses.
