Xion's eyes slowly opened and she smiled. I feel great, thank you Beta, she said, her voice already stronger and her color a little more vivid. The read streaks across her holographic form now pulsed with color, and she felt like her old self again. Returning to California's shoulder, she looked after Zoey and Caboose. Did they find anything out, I wonder?

Zoey, who was Florida, sighed lightly as she looked around and shook her head.

Maine listened to California and Zoey carefully. "Hey California, did you know the Director made Sigma to kill all the other Freelancers?" Maine asked curiously, tilting his heat slightly in an innocent way.

California gave Maine a funny look from behind her visor, a result of his attempt at innocence. "Good thing I'm better at hiding than they were, then," she joked, though still a bit unnerved at Maine's reaction. He had always been like this, of course, but now he was actually a good bit worse. She shook her head as she felt Xion tap her helmet and point across the room. Wasn't there a soldier standing there a few moments ago?

Zoey pulled out her pistol as she pointed it at some of the soldiers. "Send forward your best soldiers. I have a few questions that I would like to ask them," she demanded as the soldier exchanged glances with each other. Zoey had her finger on her pistol trigger and pointed at the soldier's head. "Do it, or you will not live to see the rest of the war," she growled. Tex bit her lip as she watched Zoey's behavior get strange and dangerous.

Maine chuckled at California's joke, and nodded. "Yes you where, or you might be in one of their places right now." HE smiled underneath is EVA helmet.

"Well, he's dead." A soldier spoke up. "But I was one of the best." He added as he stepped towards Zoey, a black and white ODST helmet on his head.

"Do you know who brought Sigma back to the Director," Zoey said as she looked at the soldier.

The soldier shrugged. "I didn't talk to the Director much, but the other, now dead, soldier did. So, I'd thank your white armored friend for killing him." He said.
