A second later, they were closed again and he was slightly pressing his face against the American's chest. At that moment, he didn't care how weak he looked partly because he couldn't keep his eyes open long enough to glare at anybody who thought that. Then get off your high horse and realize that I can't let you die either...

that their eyes met. He put his arm up
and over the gash, hoping the pressure
he was applying might suppress the blood
that had began seeping through even fast.

Arthur winced slightly when pressure was applied to the cut. It made the aching turn into a stinging pain added on to said aching. Why did I leave my guard down enough to get hit? He looked up again at Alfred before closing his eyes contently. Oh yeah. For you. Trying to regain his normal breathing, he focused on the scent of the American and his arm pressed against his side. "I know. And I suppose my being hurt to be kept alive is better than me dying, right?"

He huffed as he walked along the docks, his sword hanging on his belt. He could see a small town down a a half of a mile from the dock. He shrugged his shoulders and walked towards the small town, his glasses sitting at the peak of his nose. Once he got to the town, he looked around for something interesting, his attention distracted as he looked around. He huffed as he bumped into someone, almost loosing his balance. Once he regained his posture, he looked down at the girl that he bumped into, "I'm sorry, Ma'am." He offered Maryland his hand to help.

you dying." Alfreds' eyes trailed down to his
own arm. So this, is my fault... He almost
couldn't bare the thought of it. He had just
about killed the only person he actually loved.

"Alfred..." Arthur said weakly, forcing himself to sit up somewhat straight and meet the American's eyes. "Don't blame yourself." He couldn't force out the rest — sitting up and keeping his eyes open had used more than half of his remaining energy — so he just collapsed back against Alfred. His Alfred. The blond squeezed his eyes shut as a wave of pain flooded him. You're mine now, and you better not forget it anytime soon.

Maryland looked up, not surprised that
she had been bumped into.It happened
often. She wasn't treated the nicest out
of everyone on the ship, but it didn't
shock her, because what she did the whole
time on board was clean, and work for people.
She was surprised when she was offered a hand,
but she accepted it. "It's really no problem, but
thank you." Maryland knew almost everyone on
the ship by name, but she could not recognize
this person. "Might I ask you one question,
What is your name?"
