???: The little girl struggled, but stopped when she felt it was hopeless. She began to wimper and plead with Rose "P-p-please don't take me back! Hikozu will hurt me again! I don't want to go! Please! I want my m-m-m-momma!" she began to cry all over again, her tears washing away streeks of dirt on her cheeks, and bruises showing through. A few of them were old and in the last stages of healing, while others seemed fresher. She trembled in Rose's arms, her thin frame not much to carry, her ribs showing a little more than normal. Her, wide, innocent gray blue eyes were big and filled with terror, pain, and hunger. A dried ring of blood around her wrists and a red ring on her neck looked like ropes or manacles had recently been there. Her skin was pale like the skin of those who hardly ever ventured outside, and- with the dirt and grime still covering most of it -showed bruising, welts, a few scars here and there, and numerous small cuts on her legs and feet.
Kiro's POV: The farther she got away, the softer the spikes of ice became. Finally, after a few more seconds, they dissolved, soaking into the ground and forming small puddles of ice cold water.

Ripley heard snakes nerarby and took out her daggers and crouched in front of the little girl, protecting her
