"Pawbeast... Ya call 'em cats..." Alternia grumbles. "I dreamed that I wasn't so... outsider-y."

"No matter the name, they're adorable~" Italy said. "Outsider-y? What do you mean by that?"

"Think m'bout it... I'm the only country who isn't like the rest. I have horns, wings sometimes... I'm outsider-y." Alternia says, sighing.

GC: need some help?
GC: lemme drop your bed on it, mmkay?
GC: otherwise, that sh*t aint going to open.

"But you're really nice, and all the countries seem to like you! If anyone's an outsider, it's me. I'm just don't like war and I'm weak and I always depend on others for everything... Everyone expects me to be like my nonno, but I'm nowhere near 'Great Roman Empire' status."

"Hey, I don't up an' like war either. The only things I got in common is that I got pitiful red blood an' I can speak. We're tryin' to get money, an' we're not even a day old yet." Alternia says, still lying by Italy. "Three trolls can't fight off a ton of ya. It's, to me, like they more into my culture than actually gettin to know me. Like, prodding the lusus that just crashed into your front yard but not seein' what colour blood it has."

"I didn't understand most of that, but I want to get to know you! You're a lot nicer to me than most of the other countries, and even if we don't have much in common psychically, we cans till enjoy a movie, pasta and a siesta together!" Italy said, in a much calmer tone than usual.
(OK, I should get to bed now so I can be rested for the huge recital tomorrow. I'll be back first thing in the morning, though.)

Alternia smiles, but this one is genuine, yet broken by a sniffle. "Thanks, Italy." She simply states, and hugs him. "C'mere, I wanna give ya somethin' for not bein' like the others." Alternia cheers, taking Italy's hand and leading him to a room stuffed with Scalemates. "Ya can have three, free."
