- A smirk quirked Zeke's lips at Ghosts rather taut response to him saying that she was beautifying herself. His eyes narrowed a fraction but, despite how he loved confrontation, he'd rather not aggitate someone of his own species. Especially one that was injured and he had just saved. Well, technically they had saved each other but either way he didn't need to be a complete a**e to her. As much as he wanted to. He lifted his hands in the surrender gesture when she crossed her arms and he guessed he may have p**sed her off. Her apology was much accepted. But he simply nodded his head in response and leant back against the slightly raised tree roots at either side of him.
Idly tapping the bridge of his nose, Jared squeezed it between two fingers slightly. He winced a little but it wasn't as painful as before. Thankfully, a werewolfs healing process was sped up. Zeke hadn't exactly read into detail about it but it was something to do with the wolf adrenaline mixed with a human adrenaline that sped up the process. Either way it was damn useful. Especially in times like the ones they lived in now.
When Ghost then rose to her feet, stating that she had to move onwards, Zeke nodded once more and smiled. "Nah, I'll be fine here for a while, thanks," he said before adding, "And if the hunters give you any more 'damsel in distress' moments, just yelp and I'll be there." There was a confident smirk on his face before heard Ghosts' last sentence. He chuckled quietly as she disappeared into the trees and he heaved himself to his feet. Guessing that water was going to be pretty far away now since they'd ran for at least one and a half miles from the hunter, Zeke guessed he may as well start looking now and began to trudge through the trees at his side.
