Summers purple eyes darted to Forest but she looked awa quickly, tears forming. She raced on, dissapering into the forrest shadows.

[Cloudsong]

Forest stopped walking, seeing Summer's penetrating gaze meet his. She obviously doesn't want to talk to me, he thought, turning away. Then he stopped... What if I'm reading it wrong, and she does want to talk to me? He hesitated, then began to walk through the woods, his eyes darting around, searching for Summer.

[Africa.]

Mali smiled as she walked towards the woods. Seeing Forest looking for Summer as she raced away, she began backing up. *They'll want their privacy* she thought to herself with a smile, shifting into a wolf and racing away, out of the forest.

[Cloudsong]

After a while of searching, Forest was feeling annoyed. "Summer?" he called out, an edge to his voice. This is ridiculous. She's obviously avoiding me. Angrily he turned into his fox form and began to walk towards the edge of the forest.

[Africa.]

Mali noticed that Firest was comming up behind her. "Hey, weren't you going to talk to Summer?" she asked with a tilt of her pure white head.

[Cloudsong]

"Because she ran away," Forest said grudgingly. "I'm not going to waste my time trying to find someone who obviously wants nothing to do with me." He held his head high, but his ego was slightly wounded. Why would anyone not want to talk to him?

[Africa.]

Mali gave him a sympathetic glance. "Its ok, maybe you'll be able to talk to her when she cools down." Mali suggested, waving goodbye as she trotted away.

[Cloudsong]

"Maybe." Forest's voice was vague, and he flicked his tail in farewell to her. Quietly he began to walk towards the river, his steps hitting the forest floor loudly.

Summer heard Forest and walked slowly towords him. She sat on the other side of the river, looking at his expectantly, waiting for him to talk.

Forest was so lost in thought that at first he didn't see Summer when he sat down on the other side of the river. He yawned and stretched, flicking his ears. When he looked up he saw her, and flattened his ears. His eyes travelled to the bandages on her leg. "What happened?" he asked quietly, staring unblinkingly into her eyes.
