Asher got out his gun. Eve was a guard, he knew it.

Eve froze at the sight of a gun. Guns were bad news. Water wasn't deadly, but bullets sure were. She pulled out her own gun and aimed it at him. "Don't do anything stupid," she warned him, fighting to keep her voice steady and confident, like she actually had a hope of hitting what she was aiming at.

Asher rolled his eyes. "If you're going to hurt Grace I WILL shoot you,"

"And then Risk will laser you," Eve told him. "Face it - we win. If you hurt me, Risk'll hurt Grace, and you don't want that to happen, correct? If Grace hurts me, he'll laser you dead. But if I shoot you - Risk and I can take a blind girl, easy."
She didn't mention the fact that there was about 0.00001% chance of her possibly hitting him if she attempted to shoot him, because that would be telling.

(And now... they merely need to dodge the laser. Eve will miss with the bullet. Risk won't fire once they have her, in case he hits Eve. Enjoy.)

"If I hurt you, I wont let Risk hurt Grace," Asher said, still aiming his gun at her.

"You don't get a choice," Eve replied. "If he sees you hurt me, he'll fire at her. You know what a laser does, right?"

Risk shot a warning laser at Grace's feet.

Grace was silent throughout the while conversation, focused entirely on keeping the barrier up. As Risk shot the lazer she jerked backwards, the wall shattering like glass and disappearing innto the floor as she stumbled. The smell of burned grass wafted up to her and she took a slow step backwards, eyes narrowing.

Asher pulled Grace to him with his free arm. "Dont touch her!" He snapped.

Eve frowned. She didn't want Asher to be able to protect Grace - if Risk couldn't hit Grace, Asher might be willing to sacrifice himself for her, and then she herself might get hurt. She shot Asher, and about two seconds later realised that she was an atrocious shot.
She missed.

Grace flinched as she heard the gunshot, head instinctively snapping around to the source of the noise. Without hesitation she sent a huge jet of water blasting at the girl with hopefully enough power to knock her to the ground, only then spinning around to check if Asher was alive. He was. Good. She still had no idea where Risk was and was relying on Asher to either tell her or tazer him. Or shoot him. At this point she was beyond caring.
