Kana "Copper-mouth"
"Some things can't be treated, so, don't make me be myself around you."
Kana opened her eyes. The world wobbled and blured for a second before coming into focus. She sat up slowly and rubbed her head. She groaned softly. Where was she? She looked around and stood up. She was at the entrance to an alley somewhere. The ground was wet from rain. She shivered and brushed her bright hair out of her face. She looked at the backs of her hands and was confused. Her arms were covered in fine orangey scales. Funny, she didn't remember having these but she didn't remember not having these either. In fact, she didn't remember much of anything.
My name is Kana, that much I do know, she thought.
She brushed her tongue across her teeth and found that she had fangs. Another odd thing to think about. She walked down the street, looking at the people who passed by. Nothing was familiar, but nothing was different either. It was all very muddled. Very...neutral. She stopped in front of a large building and saw an assortment of strange people walking inside. The sign outside said something about mutant people and fighting.
She looked down at her arms again. Well, she certainly fit the bill. That and she felt drawn towards the promises of meeting other strange people. She didn't need to remember anything to know that she was strange. She walked inside and looked around. She didn't have any idea about where she was suppose to go or what she was supposed to do. She just followed the crowd.
