His face turned red as she hit it point on,
" K.. Keiten wasn't meant to go outside, We took good care of him nothing was wrong with that." He said to her his voice like a growl.

He got a beam of courage at her words and let out a laugh as he acted,
" Sorry I think I heard you wrong dad..You took good care of me?..ha!, I almost went mad more times that I can count being kept in that dusty place you call A Institute, The only one that technically cared about me was my aunt while you and mom that me rot away with the cursed sickness you put on me!" His voice rose to a shout and two guards came forward to hold him back.
" You knew well that I fell for angelica before I was turned! I don't care if I die for it but...She's the only one I love and that's all that matters.." he looked back at her and caught a few ' ahhs.." from the crowd

She had felt sick when Sapphire had first entered, fearing that she would make things worse but as she argued with Gabriel she actually let herself hope a little. Angelica continued to watch the others argue in silence and then Kit said he loved her. Angelica looked a little stunned and wondered for a moment if he said that just to get sympathy from the court if it was true. God, she hoped it was true because she had been miserable for the last few days and the thought of never being with him was to much to bear. She looked at him with a sort of questioning look while Sapphire continued to speak

His jaw clenched hearing her, No one was stopping him so he went to angelica's side taking her hand again ready for whatever sapphire had planned.

She glared at Sapphire, unsure of what she was going to do. One second she was helping and the next she seemed to be threatening Kit. She was glad that Kit was with her especially with the way Sapphire was talking.

Sapphire smiled. "No all of this leads back to kit. Your the reason he is in this mess. I have seen these two holding hands as they are now, kissing, and who knows what else behind closed door. if we look at the rules that the angels have set it is ILLEGAL for a shadowhunter and a downworlder to love each other let alone show it in public. If i do recall the trail i was put on centarys ago, the law has not changed nor has the punishment. " she said.

He heard another voice speak up behind him and saw the frail frame of his mother standing behind them in the small crowd.
"Sapphire you may of been cursed but you just can't take the fact that the person you loved didn't love you back, My boy loved that girl before he was turned into a NightChild..I say let him live Unless anyone else here as something to say against it." She said looking at the eyes around her.
" Mom.." Kit said knowing she should calm down.
Kit spoke up again. " I was going to get changed back anyways..Angelica knows of a person who can change me back into a shadowhunter..And I find it funny you say the rule was made by the Angel when I've scene his son and he approved of Angelica and Me." He said to sapphire
