Coryn soon had a hollow big enough for a wolf to curl up in, but he needed space for himself. He kept hollowing out the sides and top, using the roots of the pine trees as supports. He notched some shelves and stood back, thourly covered in dirt and mud. He went outside and got some dry pine needles, moss and other soft things, placing them in a hollow in the den. He came out and shook his fur, but it was caked. Coryn crouched down and then jumped into the air, taking a good loop before heading down to the river, about a mile away.

Kira looked up at the boy who was talking to her (Alec). "Okay... i guess. But how do i change back?" she asked.

Arita trotted back to the riverbank after a few hours, transformed back into a human and very hurriedly slipped on her now-dry tunic and breeches. She walked back to the camp as a human, looking at the green-dappled woodlands with a new respect.

Coryn had just giotten theer when Arita was leaving. He took no otice of her and rolled in the pebbles of the streambed, cleaning all the mud and dirt from his mane, scales and claws. Finally clean, dripping wet and shining like a becon, he shook himself out on the bank. He looked at his gleaming scales, vainly admiring the shine they gave at being polished by the rocks. Shaking his tawny mane, he took into the air again. As he flew in the last strnds of cool evening light, he contemplated. I don't want to ever be a human again. Being a dragon is so much better. He sighed a happy sigh, but still with a tinge of strange sadness as he soared thru the newly black-purple-blue skye, shining bringt gold against the silver-white sparkiling stars and the dark backdrop.

Alec stared down at the rabbit, then shrugged. He figured he should tell her, yet he had the irrepressible feeling that he should let her figure it out herself. People should honestly learn to be smart by themselves, no matter how ridiculous that sounds. He was sure that if she actually thought about it, she would be able to come up with a solution. He tore off his gaze from her, but quickly glanced over once again. If she didn't figure it out, he would be responsible for her troubles. Yet, if he told her, he would be responsible for helping her out. Somehow, that appealed greatly to his ego.

"Just imagine yourself in your mind...your human self."

Briar stared after...what was her name...Scarlet! Truth be told, he was feeling a little out of place, and feeling like he wasn't any good to anyone around here. He quickly developed that loss of purpose, and the more he dwelled on it, the more depressed he got. It came to the point where he changed into a pig and started wandering around the forest aimlessly. Now, he had a purpose. Briar grinned after Scarlet as much as a boar could grin. He liked her...well, he liked everyone, to be honest, but he liked her for lifting his spirits. Enthusiasm and determination building up inside him, he set out on the search for berries. He liked berries. The thought made him hungry.

Arita climbed a tree, laying out on a broad limb to think and to just enjoy the scenery of the woodlands. She took a deep breath, and the smell of wet loam and growing plants filled her nose. Why should she ever leave this place, she wondered. I have everything I could ever want, right here.

Kiranatsu calmed down and concentrated. "Human form... Human form..." she muttered. Slowly she shifted back into her human self. She stood up and smiled at Alec. "I'm Kiranatsu." she said cheerfully. "And who are you?"

Sitting up when she heard a rustle in the brush below, Arita looked down to see a large boar snuffling the ground, scenting for... something, although what it was she didn't know. "Hey, Briar?" she called, trying to tell if it was him. She had seen quite a few wild pigs in her lifetime, when she had escaped her aunt's house and sought refuge in the woods, and it was rather hard to differentiate one from another.

Briar looked up, snout wiggling, still looking for the scent of berries. In the tree above him, the already familiar form of a tiger ((I think you’re in tiger form)), who he immediately recognized as Arita. There was no way he wouldn’t, considering that she was the only tiger he has seen before. Again, his snout wiggled, not from berries but rather because it’s what pigs do when their pleased. “Hello, Arita. You’ve done your part already?”

Alec felt rather pleased with himself. He just helped someone solve their problem. It was such an insignificant detail, yet it fed his ego a good bit. Kiranatsu was, in fact, a long name, but he wasn’t going to complain about a name. Calmly and seemingly disinterested, Alec turned his head and gazed in the other direction. “Alec.” He hoped she wouldn’t suddenly believe they were friends just because he told her what to do.
