History
Biyu Beifong was brought up in the Earth Kingdom in the city of Gaoling as the newest heir to the Beifong Family. Her family was pretty normal, her Father and Mother, despite their royal status, made it very clear to her that it was important to try to have a normal life, as much as one could with royal blood. Another strange thing was that she actually had an older step-brother named Huan. Huan was her very best friend, and he always made sure that she was smiling, and Biyu always spent her time with her older brother. But even though she spent all that time with him, she could've never guessed what he truely was. Huan was practicing the arts of Fire-Bending behind bother her, and their parents backs and planning to take them out.
When Biyu turned sixteen she was faced with her greatest nightmare. HEr parents had an arranged marriage for her, yet she had no desire to be wed, but she had no say in the matter. Throughout the entire day she was shocked to find that her brother was nowhere to be found. When she was forced to go to be wed nonetheless she refused. She used her earthbending to raise a small plate of earth between herself and the man that she was to be wed to just before he could kiss her. Immediately she turned and took off running, removing the pure white orchd that pinned her hair back and throwing it on the ground in her trail. Biyu had to find Huan.
She searched the entire palace before she remembered. There was one place that her brother always found her when she was sad, the old orchard, by the largest cherry tree. Biyu felt dumb for not thinking of it sooner, but she left to search there.
The young girl, panting, slolwy arrved at the tree, and there she saw him, his raven black hair, pale. But she was stopped in her tracks and found herself staring at the fire red armor on his body. She called out his name, and slowly he turned to face her, but the look in his eyes made her blood run cold. She was terrified.
Seeing fire spark in his hand, Biyu whipped around and raised a wall behind her before she found herself face to face with her brother once more.
She was forced to fight him, she didn't want to die. He told her how he should be the heir, not her. He was the eldest, despite his origin.
How he was jealous.
The very thought tore her heart out and she tried to calm him down. Tried to say how she didn't want to be the heir, but nothing helped.
He lashed out at her.
All Biyu can remember is staring into his dark, unknown amber glare before she saw the fire coming to life in his palm. She stared at the flames as they shot out at her, and she felt her heart slow down as she returned her gaze to stare at him in horror.
She moved her hands swiftly, sending boulders at Huan before the fire surrounded her and a scream tore from her throat.
Then, all there was, was darkness.
When she awoke, she found herself in a medicine man's hut, and he nursed her back to health, knowing her to be the Princess. Biyu looked at her reflection in a glass of water he had given her, a grim look dawning when she saw the ugly scar that her brother had left her with. A burn streaking over her right eye, covering it in a mily film, and causign the skin to pff up and turn pink from the scar tissue, leaving the Princess to be unrecognizable.
Princess Biyu Beifong was no longer, she was lost when she left the wedding, when she was attacked by her only friend.
The only thing that remained of this girl was her name.
Biyu decided that the only way to live now would be to go to Republic Cit, and never speak of her past. To star over and try again on her own.
She left the next morning, having found her loyal Gorilla Goat, Hong, riding towards her new lfe in Republic City, not planning to ever return.
((Then she lives a pretty normal life in Republic City, and trying to help with Equalist attack ect.
I hope this is alright, I just came up with it and thought it would be okay because they never really say anything else about Gaoling and the Beifongs aside from Cheif Beifong.))
Personality I tend to be very hard headed when I set my heart on something. I won't give up on a dream until I fufill it and i can move on to another. I never give up, and I'm always full of confidence. I tend to rash in certain situations, and very intelligent in others. It all depends on what's happening.
My greatest quality is my loyalty to my friends. I would rather die protecting them, rather than letting them get even hurt.
I love my friends, and the most important things to me are our bonds with eachother. I've never found someone like my big brother Huan though. No one could replace that black pit in my heart I felt. Huan would always have a place there, and his betrayal to me is why I hate Fire-Benders so much. From this, I also feel obligated to keep children safe from harms way, just because I know how terrifying it can be. Even though I'm still a kid myself, I make sure I protect those younger than me. Because I know they can't fight as well. They're innocent.
All in all, if you make a bond with me, you'll see I can be sweet, and gentle to young ones, and not as sarcastic as usual. I can be hard headed and very cold when you first meet me, but I just don't want to be close to anyone, for fear that they'll turn on me.
Most people would call it stupidity to run head fist into a mob of Equalists without a plan. Heh, maybe it is, but I've got nothing to lose anymore.
