In the cities, sewers, beaches, and any where else in the state of South Carolina, a problem has shown itself. And this problem was soon noticed by the young residents who lived there. It all started when a fourteen year-old boy, with an unknown name, stumbled upon a group of people, performing some strange ritual. The group took notice of the boy spying on their activities, and used him as a human sacrifice for their, at the time, unknown purpose. But not before he could call one of his friends about it. The word was spread by the friend, who was also soon found out and sacrificed by the group. The friend had only told a few people about the strange group, who was later called the Consortium. He told them to help spread the word, but only to people they felt would believe what was happening, or was strong enough to handle it. This group of young people called themselves the Elites, and they had something special about each of the members. They were of godly descent, and only another godly descendant could tell one from another. Because of this, it gave them quite more power then others would usually think they would possess. They kept their existence very secret. If they didn't, the Consortium could soon find out about them, and get rid of them all before they reveal their secrets to the world. But the Elites have no purpose of releasing their secret. They work in the shadows, gathering information and trying to stop the affects the Consortium puts in place. You see, what the Consortium was doing is very dangerous, and if they continued their work and bloody attack on innocent people to sacrifice, it could throw the world into chaos. They're trying to summon the Greek, Roman, and Egyptian gods, thinking that if they summoned such deities that they themselves would become gods, and would have the power to get whatever their greedy hearts desired. The thing is, these gods are angered with each other, and if all were to come into our Earth, it would, yet again, be thrown into Chaos. And when the Consortium use their rituals, they have to summon the worst of the worst before they can summon the good, or at least, those who are the god of bad things. Set, Anubis, Thantos, Pluto, you never know who'll come up, and what their intentions will be once they arrive. And that is why the Elites exist, to put a stop to this. First, they will take their work slowly, gather information, try to put released gods back or settle tensions so the gods will help them, and then try and stop the Consortium once and for all, no matter how dangerous this act will be. They're not ready to give up now.

PG-13 - This role-play is rated PG-13 for violence, minor cursing [no bannable/strong ones, guys. Not even if you star them.], and romance, because some people think romance is bad. Now, if it gets to, you know that thing, then please don't even remotely mention it here. Don't even fade to black. I don't want that kind of thing here at all. Violence and romance are encouraged, though, but please don't be making out right as you're being shot at.

CHARACTER RELATIONS - Not everyone can be friends. Some people will be enemies with others, which will complicate the plot and make things more interesting. Yes, please make your character enemies with someone eventually. This will go under "Other" in the form. Elites can be enemies with another one too. They tolerate each other around other members usually, only doing so because they share the same goal.

ACTIVITY AND LOYALTY - Just don't come here and die. As a member, you are not allowed to leave unless it's under good reason, and you must be active unless you inform me otherwise. I hate it when the role-play is just left hanging because you decided to not post anymore. [this doesn't count towards you if you actually have something going on.]

LITERATE -This is literate, and I expect of you at least two detailed [including proper grammar and spelling] paragraph [6-8 sentences] from you. Pretty posts are also encouraged. It's not fun to look at if everything is plain. It's not that hard. Writers block can be an excuse, but don't use it all the time.

RESTRICTIONS - Consortium members are played by everyone, because of this, they will be given no name. In the Elites, the ages range from thirteen to seventeen. I'm usually real chill with genders, but if one is seriously outnumbering the other, don't make more of the gender until it's more even. Try and make your posts pretty, too. Another major restriction is the relation with the gods. Someone cannot be related to one or more god, and the god cannot have another relation if it's already taken. First come, first serve. As stated that they had special abilities because of their godly descent, they cannot be too powerful. No killing with a glance, no mind control, no being able to make things explode with your mind, you should know what's acceptable and what's not.

Personality → In short, Cai is a seriously two-faced person, and she fully admits it. At one time she might be real nice to you, and another she could be making off with your wallet. She doesn't really care what people think about her, unless they start bringing someone she cares about into it. Yeah, yeah, she cares about what people says about her friends then about her, but who wouldn't? She has a fondness for gambling, and she loves to take risks whenever possible. Of course, because of this she does get a lot of scares and has to have a lot of band-aids, but she loves it.

At her best, she's extremely kind and talkative. For a greeting, she likes jumping on people or hugging them instead of just saying hello, which of course she will do sometimes, unless their totally strange people, if she doesn't know who they are she won't do it, most likely. At her worst, she can be irritable and angry, often snapping at others if they make mistakes. Though, she tends to stride with her best side the most. Cai doesn't like seeing people sad, so she will often go to extremes to try and make someone happy, often making a fool of herself unless it was a serious situation, unless it's someone she made sad or someone she doesn't care about, or even a type of person she doesn't like. To be truthful, she really only cares if children are sad, and only the ones that aren't brats.

She likes to credit herself for being sneaky, which she is. You could say that she has a bad habit of stealing things that don't exactly belong to her. She calls it "borrowing without asking." She tries to control herself from stealing, but sometimes you can't fight the addiction, you know? Other then that, she pretty much is really nice and kind and mostly innocent. Well, kind of. You see, she can be kind of judgmental of certain people. Cai will judge them by how they look, how they dress, how they act in first encounters... Meaning if you get on her bad side she will tend to hold a grudge for a long time. Though, get on her good side and she'd be a loyal friend for life, or at least until said person hurts her.

Cai also has a strong dislike for girls who wear revealing things, act like they're better then everyone else, over religious, or just down right self absorbed. She finds it gross how people would do that, and she'd rather have nothing to do with them. Matter of fact, she doesn't even want to share the same air space with them, and she'll go to great lengths to avoid them. Same with guys who are total air heads and act like they're 'da boss' all the time, and try to be tough. They think it's cool and popular, she thinks it's utterly stupid and what's wrong with society now. And don't even get her started with people who get pregnant her age.

Another aspect of her personality is that she can either be very shy or very outgoing, depending on how the person looks or acts. At first, when she's around entirely new people, she'll be quiet for a while until she gets used to her surroundings. After that, she'll come out some more, and if you're friends with her, boy is she loud. She likes to smile a lot, so she likes to hang around people who make her laugh in a good way, who're nice and good natured, and overall a good person. Which is why she avoids almost half the people she knows. Sure, some of them are nice, but the thing is, Cai has high standards for friends. Sounds quite snooty doesn't it?

She's creative and intelligent, and those are traits she takes pride in. She's a quick learner, and does not easily fall behind on things unless her train of thought is somewhere else. Her creativity allows her to think in ways others couldn't even dream of, and her imagination is large and outstretched. These things, when doing them, make her extremely happy and joyful. Though, sometimes her creative traits can turn dark, as she tries to figure out things that she shouldn't be sticking her nose into. She's sly, you could give her that, but the way she uses it to help her curiosity is a flaw that could be fatal. Curiosity killed the cat, you know? But, most of the time, she keeps her mind where it should be, and when she becomes curious in other people's affairs or problems, she'll do her best not to get involved unless she's asked to, or if it's someone she knew well.

Due to her being quite creative, she can be that of an escape artist. Not that she's never really needed it in a life or death situation, since she's never been in one, but she likes to keep the ability in preserve just in case. This goes along with the fact that she likes to exercise often, and of course, she has to because she takes care of any number of dogs at a time. To her, being healthy is very good and important, but that doesn't stop her from sitting on the couch and playing video games all the while eating chips or some other junk food. She can be lazy because of this, but to her, if it's not worth getting excited or motivated about, it's not worth doing.

But like everyone else, Cai loves a good mystery, or good-vs-evil plot line of a story, weather it be real life or in a book. She'll listen intently, and try to figure things out before someone else does, or the characters do.
Strengths → "Well, I'm pretty good at acrobatics. I guess I also have strong points in sneaking around too, night vision could be a strength, but I don't think about it really. I'm good at catching things too."
Weaknesses → "I may be athletic, but I am not that strong. Having to fight someone in close combat is a real problem for me, as well as handling weapons like knives if I wanted to do actual fatal damage. I'd be better off hiding in a tree throwing rocks at you, which is probably more effective then me using a knife. Another weakness is that I get kind of... scared when I'm near water or in straight-up open areas, and that can seriously affect me sometimes. I'm always so paranoid."
Likes → "I like it when I accidently rhyme, or do it on purpose. I also like nice people, video games, rock music, puppies, flowers, My Little Pony (shut up, I can like it), Tobuscus, and PewDiePie. Probably a bunch of other stuff that slipped my mind too."

Abilities → Though he doesn’t really consider it as a supernatural ability, even though it is, Abel is extremely sensitive to people’s “alignments”. This means he can tell whether somebody is good or evil. To him, there is no in-between, a grey zone. A person either has too much of good or too much of evil. How much a person is evil or good depends, and being even a little more good than evil can tip the scales. Abel’s presence is also soothing to those who are near death, or have some sort of fatal illness or injury that will eventually kill them. He does nothing to help them pass on, but a simple touch from him will put them at ease, and make them more relaxed than they should be, insuring that they pass away in peace.

Abel’s sense of smell is very good as well, very much like a dog’s.

Personality → There really is no way to properly describe Abel’s full personality, though there are some things that should be highlighted.

Let’s begin with his good traits. Abel is quite a determined young lad, perhaps not surprising for somebody of his age, but he isn’t only determined to chase skirts, get drunk or stay out way past curfew, passed out on the couch at a friend’s place. He is also very determined to keep his grades up and make his parents proud. Though he might not seem like the type to care about school, or somebody who respects his parents a lot, Abel will prove both of those assumptions wrong. He was raised to be an obedient child, and the only reason he can get away with half of the things he does is because his parents are very lax, believing that he will grow out of being a teenager very soon, and dump all the baggage that comes with that.

Abel holds great respect for both his mother and father, even though his dad has a... slight drinking problem. Abel still thinks that he’s a good father, who has never done anything bad to him or his mother, nor anybody else. To make his parents proud of him, and to also feel a sense of having achieved something, Abel strives to keep his grades at their best. His slightly higher than average intelligence does help with this, but his near immaculate marks are 99% achieved through stubborn determination and hard work. In fact, Abel has this bad habit of looking down on those who brag about being too intelligent, or who use their intelligence or talent to cruise through life.

Before you get to know him, Abel might seem imposing, and just not that friendly, but the truth is that he is a real sweetheart. He is attentive, and cares for his friends, perhaps a little too much. And maybe this sounds like a cliche, but Abel truly is very protective of those that he considers family, and anybody who is his friend is also part of his family. While Abel might be a little reserved with strangers, he opens up pretty quickly, and has no trouble with exchanging jokes or playful punches. He is somewhat like a puppy in that sense, always up for a good joke, a hug, or anything of the sort. He really enjoys the company of others, and sadness and boredom often creep up on him when he is alone or when he has nothing to do. Unfortunately, this is a usual feeling for him as, like said before, people are wary of him and tend to stay away from him.

Still, Abel likes to stay optimistic, and he won’t constantly be depressed even though there are moments in his life when he feels downright horrible, like a dead weight. He doesn’t really have any friends in his age group, so he often wanders alone outside, kicking pebbles or trash around until he gets bored. Most of the time he takes his dog, Duke the Bloodhound, with him so he doesn’t feel too alone. There are times when Abel is just too busy with studying to even think about making friends. He devotes at least three full hours to studying, if not more, and rarely wastes his time watching TV or working on the computer, though he does indulge himself every once in a while. He knows that his parents sometimes wish for him to find friends and break the rules a little more, like every other teenager, but over the years they’ve settled into their life. Abel studies, his mother works, and his father drinks.

Abel is blunt, and sometimes even to the point of being extremely rude. He won’t mince his words or hesitate when he wants to share his opinion about something. He speaks when it is convenient for him, and won’t change his ways even if he is asked to. He is stubborn when it comes to expressing himself, and believes that everybody should have the right to speak freely, and to say whatever they want. Of course, this is, perhaps, because he doesn’t really understand the proper manners one has to have on the subject of saying everything and anything. He doesn’t have any trouble hurling insults right back at the one insulting him, playfully or not, and he certainly doesn’t have a problem with picking a verbal fight. However, Abel will draw the line at fist fights, or any kind of psychical fight, unless he has to protect somebody important to him.

Abel is almost always full of energy. He doesn’t mind going out for a run, and even enjoys it. Sometimes, he can be a really fast talker even though he won’t talk much. He could be calm one minute, and get really excited the next over something small, like finding an interesting-shaped rock. He may get a little too excited, even to the point where he’ll start jumping up and down in his excitement. When he realizes what he is doing he will stop, though there will still be a bounce in his step and a smile on his face. He also gets really excited when something good happens to his family, like his mother getting a raise, or his cousin getting into that expensive college that they always wanted to go to. Abel will even be happy for strangers, like when he makes smalltalk at the buss stop, and they share something interesting with him.

But Abel can be calm as well. He’ll be more and happy to lie on the couch for hours, reading a book or watching TV with the family, which is what he calls bonding time. He rarely gets to spend any time with his mother, since she is always so busy, so he takes every chance that he gets. He’ll laze around with his dog on a bench outside, when they are both tired from running around, or from playing with a frisbee or a ball. He even likes to sleep, and can do so for hours, as long as he has nothing else to do. With his studying, he rarely gets to sleep very much, so he enjoys it immensely when he does. He’ll also sit quietly with his dad while the man is drinking himself silly, exchanging a joke between himself and his son every once in a while. Abel likes to spend time with his father, since the man is pretty interesting, according to him. He always has something new to say, something that Abel hasn’t heard before, and even though what he shares aren’t nuggets of wisdom, Abel still likes hearing him talk.

Strengths → His psychical strength, his determination, and his energy would mark the top of this list, according to Abel. He has many strengths, just as he has many weaknesses, but the other, most prominent ones would be his ability to soothe people, especially those older than him, which ties directly with his ability. Then comes the way that he handles things, which is thinking something through before actually doing it, and finally his intelligence. While outwardly Abel might not seem like one to be very concerned about his grades or even simply settling down and reading a book, the Abel on the inside is much different from that.
Weaknesses → Abel is very quick to judge, as his ability allows him to do that. However, there is often more to somebody than how good or evil they are, which sometimes makes Abel’s judgement a hit and miss. Abel can also be very blunt and rude, and fully realizes what he is doing when he goes to insult somebody’s mother right to their face. His excessive drinking should be at the top of the list, even if it isn’t as severe as his father’s. Abel has a weakness for alcohol, and even though he doesn’t hold it very well, that doesn’t stop him from consuming it.

Personality → Syeanne is a rather complex person, even if you don't know her well. She comes off as a person that is difficult to deal with. As a result of that, not people approach her. She has a separate set of rules for pretty much any situation and abides by them very strictly. She's uniform and precise, following directions down to the last word. She's not the nicest person, nor is she judgmental. She has to get to know someone first before she is remotely open. She's downright strange and she knows it very, very well. Normality bothers her a lot and she likes to be the first person to try something.

She has a lot of 'rules' for a lot of situations. It really depends on who she's dealing with, why she's dealing with them, what mood she's in, where they are, and who else is present. It breaks down into a lot of subcategories, and no one she's close with ever bothers with learning them all. She changes depending on who she's with. It's almost as if she has different personalities, but it's just how she is. She doesn't have mood swings, but her mood changes a lot. She never does a complete change from how she's acting one moment to the next. Her mood will change in levels. She'll be happy, then content, then mildly irritated, irritated, annoyed, angry, mad, furious, etc.

She doesn't really care what random people think of her, but hates it when people she sees on a daily basis don't like her. It frustrates her to no end knowing that someone hates her for who she is. She tries to be cordial to most people when she first meets them, but if they're just a complete arse then she's drop the politeness and be rude back. She treats people exactly as they treat her, even if she doesn't necessarily want to. She'll act different with everyone. She doesn't have a set 'personality' and people often become confused if they're with her and another person because she'll act completely different.

She is definitely not the nicest person on earth. She's extremely blunt and doesn't believe in sugar-coating anything. Some people don't like her for that, and some people absolutely love that attribute about her. She'll be polite but she'll tell you what she thinks. She doesn't judge people on first impressions since she believes that you need more than one meeting to know somebody. She knows that people don't show their true colors when you first meet them since she herself doesn't do it. She's pretty indifferent to most things, so it's hard to freak her out.

She's pretty lazy, but has her moments of excitements. She tries to keep calm and focused during extreme situations, but fails from time to time. She likes to stand on the sidelines and formulate a plan instead of just jumping straight into the action. Even in social events, she sticks to the walls and stays away from the center of attention. People normally don't notice she's there unless she brings attention to herself, which she tries to avoid doing.
Strengths → She's very good at remaining unseen, which she uses to her advantage. On the rare occasion that she needs direct contact with a person, she normally talks herself out of it. She has a very sly tongue and is able to convince people to do things rather easily. She can be very misleading with her intentions, making you think she's just passing by while she's stealing everything that's currently in your possession.
Weaknesses → She's a bit too shy. She's not good with extended periods of social time and can be kind of awkward around people she doesn't know, which is pretty much everyone. She's around 50% stronger in the dark, but 20% weaker in the light.
Likes → She's not a very picky person. She doesn't really hate anything, preferring to either like it or be neutral. She likes darker, more secluded areas. She prefers to be alone most of the time, but doesn't mind company that doesn't annoy her every second for attention. She likes sweeter foods compared to bitter or sour.
Dislikes → She dislikes attention and people who crave constant attention. She's pretty absentminded, so people who need constant attention always break her out of her thoughts and she starts getting annoyed.
