The Mind Games (New And Accepting!!!)

Rose had finished her chores early today. She grabbed a new book and made her way up to the roof. When she got there, she saw the girl that had given her the bread earlier. Rose smiled and waved. She noticed that she was very thin and went and grabbed the bread she stored along with an apple, some cracker, and two cookies from her secret stash. They only got cookies one day of the year. Madam Morribles birthday. With her stash empited, Rose slid down the drain pipe and walked over to the girl. She sat down and handed the food to her. "Here."

Melanie looked up in surprise seeing the girl from earlier she gulped and thanked her just taking a small piece of the bread "you know don't you" she asked her "all three of them are dead,honestly i think i would have never met them rather then know them all my life and never get to properly say good bye" she said.

Rose nodded sadly. "You know, it isn't much fun the other way around. At least you knew them and knew what they looked like. Having to picture them yourself is extremely depressing. Then you have to deal with the whole reason they gave you up.." she pointed out sadly. She never talked about this to anyone and now she was spilling things out to a random stranger. "oh I'm sorry. I'm not helping the issue at all. I've never really been a people person." she said putting her head in her hands.

"Me neither i'm sure your parents didn't give you up because they didn't want to when we were both born it was hard to live in this world because we were at war everywhere was i'm sure they just had a good reason to do it and think about this they are probably still out there somewhere you might meet them,someday but i sadly won't she was just four you know my sister" she didn't mind talking to random strangers even though she wasn't much of a random stranger "what's your name?" she asked.

Rose just nodded. "Rose." she said simply. "Yours?" she asked looking up at the girl. She was the closest rose had come to a true friend. All the kids at the orphanage ignored her.

Luna awoke, her i-pod blaring. God. She fell asleep in the park AGAIN. She quickly walked home. When she got to her home, she checked on her Bonzai Garden, and seeing that everything is fine, she went into her "living room". She began to hum to her favorite song.

"Where are you living now?" Rose asked Melanie concerned.

"Err well no where really" she replied "i've been trying to find anything salvageable in the ruble that's left but nothings turned up that would help me get a place of my own." she said again.

"Huh okay." Rose said thoughtfully. "Oh I've got it maybe you could live on the roof of the orphanage! I have made it almost like a house. And I could bring some extra food up." She said.
