Victoria grinned at his praise and waved at Phantom. The other girl failed to even acknowledge her existence, however. She noted their hug and felt a shard of jealousy stab into her heart. Victoria was a possessive, fiercely loyal person. It was simply her nature to be suspicious of any female friends of her crushes. She wasn't used to friends, male or otherwise. As a child, she had been made fun of for her untamable, frizzy mane and bossy personality. Other children shunned her, ignored her, even bullied her. She'd gotten used to it after awhile, learned to ignore them. But she'd be lying if she said it didn't hurt every time.
The two other humans were obviously busy, so she reached up and scratched the dog behind the ears. She was more of a cat person, but it wasn't like she hated dogs. They were nice to her, at least.
