Seth thought that over for a moment before shrugging."Yeah. Yeah I believe that too."he said, shooting her a mischievious grin. Then he paused, raising an eyebrow at her."Exactly how long have you been hunting on your own?" he asked curiously.

[Patch.]

Sammy looks away, her expression clouding over as she thought of her parents. "I started training when I was four. I killed my first vampire when I was seven." She doesn't sound too proud, just a bit thoughtful and impassive.

[Nithera]

Seth shook his head."Geez, I didn't kill one until I was fifteen. Then again, I started training around that time too..." Seth looked over at her, not smiling like before."Though those memories aren't exactly ones I find to be good,"he added softly. Seeing her expression, he figured she was the same.

[Patch.]

Sammy nods in understanding. "Yeah. My uncle and aunt wanted me trained thoroughly so I would be prepared for the worst." She looks away for a moment as they turn a corner. "That didn't stop them from being killed themselves though."

Seth dropped his gaze, nodding quietly."Im sorry that happened to you."he said softly."I imagine losing someone you care about is painful..."he trailed off. Seth honestly had no idea what that felt like, except with his mother... Though he remembered her smiling face and gentle voice, he was never around her much. Most of the time, she was asleep. For a while, she was in a coma... Seth never really knew her, but he liked to believe that she had loved him as much as he wanted to love her. Still, he had been upset when he had died, but not broken apart..."Something I don't think I quite understand."he explained, looking over to see the boy he had shown up earlier staring at him along with his friends. He quickly looked away from Seth's piercing gaze, and Seth looked back in front of him. His eyes flickered to Sammy."Nonetheless, they trained you well."he went on."They've passed their skill to you, that's something to be proud of, right?"he was trying to cheer her up.

[Patch.]

Sammy bites her lip, thinking. "Um...yeah, I guess so." She looks at him sideways after sending the boy and his friends a deadly look. "I'm sorry about your mom, Seth. I know what it's like to loose parents...and a baby brother...and an uncle...and and aunt..." Her fists clench for a moment before she continues, "Sorry, I'm being insensitive." She takes a deep breath as she walks up to her locker and starts to open it. "We have lunch next period ironically enough." She smiles a bit.

Seth nodded quietly, though he was a tad confused. He had said nothing about his mother..."Well that's good, I don't like sitting through the classes. It's boring.And you're not being insenative, trust me, it's fine." Then he bit his lip and looked over at her."I said nothing about my mother..."he said slowly."How do you know...?"

[Patch.]

"Uh...." Sammy reddens. "I...um..." She grimaces. She was caught. "Can you keep a secret?" she asks, lowering her voice.

Seth raised an eyebrow."Dude, I'm a vampire, that's a pretty big secret don't you think?"he said before nodding quietly, his eyes on her."Yes." There was nothing rude or scornful about Seth's voice and facial expression. Just curious, but rather calm.

[Patch.]

Sammy takes a deep, shaky breath. "I have ancestors that were vampires," she mumbles. "You know you guys have telepathic powers...? Well, I somehow inherited some, so yeah...I can read people's thoughts." She sounds embarrassed and a little wary.
