Eve slung her backpack over her back and picked up her bow. She went into the forest, taking care not to make any noise. Her bow was ready at her side, and her arm was poised to reach back and string an arrow if she needed to.
Finally, after looking at countless tree, she found a few with thick trunks. She squinted and looked up at them, noticing that they were all leafy. It would blend them well.
She started climbing, focusing on finding a big, sturdy branch. Finally, she found two of them. They were on opposite sides of the tree, but each was thick and placed so that a person could sleep on it. There were numerous smaller, yet still sturdy branches sticking out slightly from the tree that would provide good footholds. This was a blessing and a curse - it would provide an easier way to get up and down the tree for Riley and her, but it would also cater for her enemies. She blew hard, and looked down.

Miley looked around. Her heart beating faster with every step. She looked at rory then back at the ground.

Riley Anderson - District 3

It seemed as though they had been walking forever. Being from the urban part of District 3, he knew nothing of trees except the few in his neighborhood were too thin and decorative to climb. So he left the judging and safety testing to Eve. In the mean time, he kept his eyes peeled for other tributes. They had been unbelievably lucky considering the distance that they had traveled to have not run into a single lone tribute or the Career Pack. He stayed on the ground, unarmed, while Eve scaled the tree. She was remarkably good at it, and Riley thanked his luck to have been given such an excellent District Partner. Even if he only ended up being her scape goat. "It looks good," Riley said, feet firmly planted on the ground. "We should get back." His water bottle was nearly empty. He had fully taken advantage of the walk to guzzle it all down.

Eve climbed down and nodded, downing the last of her water in a few seconds. "You lead the way." She whispered, motioning her hand towards the river.

Riley Anderson - District 3

And so began the long and arduous journey back to the little stream. Riley was sweating...not like a waterfall or anything, but his golden hair was plastered down to his head at this point and his clothes were beginning to feel uncomfortable. Not to mention he was getting hungry. Riley of course, did not voice any of these complaints. He just silently suffered the walk back. When they finally did make it back to the stream, he dropped to his knees at its edge and splashed his face..."And then...we have to walk all the way back...How are you so in shape?" he asked, filling the water bottle again.

Eve held up her finger, panting. She dipped her face in the water, feeling refreshed in its coolness. When she lifted her face up from the water, she dried it with her sleeve.
"I'm not that in shape. I mean, I hu-... uh, I mean... did stuff with my parents." Eve muttered, looking at the ground. No doubt, people could hear what she said, and Eve didn't even want to imagine what they'd do to her family if they knew that she and her father had been hunting illegally. Eve dipped her water bottle into the stream until it was overflowing and then dropped a tablet in. She screwed the cap on and wiped the sweat of off the sides. "Ready?" She asked, clipping it and strapping the bungee cords around it into place. She grabbed her bow and nervously positioned her hands to shoot it at any possible second.
She looked upwards, noticing that the sky was darkening. "Let's go now." Eve murmured, starting to run towards the forest. She did not want to be caught blundering around in the woodlands at night.

Riley Anderson - District 3

As he laid back, waiting on the fizzling of the water to stop, he had to force himself to look somewhere other than Eve. They were in a pretty dangerous position after all: In the open, by a stream. Yet you would never know Riley was concerned about that by the way his blue eyes darted back and forth, leaning back on his hands. He didn't protest aloud, but his muscles sure did. His backpack felt like it had rocks in it. "Yeah, okay, let's go." He started walking, at a pace that was painfully fast for his aching body, but he wasn't eager to get caught out in the dark.

Greenwolf, can you please cross out the dead tributes from the list? It's your rp and all, I'm just asking because it's hard to tell. ))

Mako smirked, "Well whats your plan then?" He teased, she ws getting annoyed so he climbed back down, "No sign of water anywhere." He said frowning, "I guess we just start walking." He took his bag and longsword from Cass and offered a hand to help her up.

I shrugged and handed Mako back his bag and sword. Taking his hand, I pulled myself up and said to him "Lets go then". I looked around,wondering how long I was going to be stuck in this place. I suppose I can trust him enough to stick with him for a while.It'll be a lot easier than being by myself.

Mako trotted off, he usually didn't warm to people very quickly, but he was very pleased to be with the one person in the game that mattered, he decided right then and there that she would be the one to win. She would be the one return home. With her would be his goodbyes to his mother and little brothers.
He turned to face her, walking backwards, he cocked his head to the side and watched as rays of sun glinted off of her red hair.
