Grace blinked a few times. Then she pulled the book from Onyx's grasp and stared at the page for a few long seconds. Eventually she spoke. "So if it had hurt then I would die. Within an hour." Ger expression was blank and emotionless.

((ikr? We just love giving her life-threatening diseases))

Onyx leaned over her shoulder and tapped the page twice where it said so. "Unfortunately yes. Now that I know what it's called I'm going to see if I can find the cure in my medicines book." She said, walking over to the stack and grabbing one of the books, a faded navy blue color without a title, out of the middle. She opened it, leafing through the pages with expertise.

Grace was silent, looking down at the page with a blank expression. After a few minutes, she paused. "Onyx, how long did you say we had in here?" She had no idea how loony they had slept in the small office, but it must've been about forty minutes.

Onyx didn't look up. "An hour, we've been about forty to fifty minutes. I'm going as fast as I can." She said, then threw the other book at Jak. It hit him square in the chest. "Owwww????" Jak said, grabbing the book. "Page 7879." Onyx said. He nodded, putting it in his lap and flipping to the page.

Olivia nodded and looked down" yes,,, yes i do" she sighed and thought about how her sister had died in a fire last year

"Everyday." Elrond replied, nodding. His shirt was still off so it was possible to see where his automail connected to his skin. It was odd-looking, but he didn't care.

Olivia nods then rested her head on her hands and watched him

Elrond glanced at Olivia again and sighed. He realized his window was still open and got up to shut it. Before he did though he sensed something deep below the castle. He frowned, brushing the feeling off and shutting the window quickly.

Grace winced, coughing quietly and glancing around her. The arrogant, cocky side of her siad whatever, let's just get back to the castle and we'll do... something.. whereas the sensible, scared side practically screamed TELL THEM FOR GOODNESS SAKE. She ignored both of them and watched Onyx.

Onyx studied the page that she was looking at. "Okay, let's pretend that did in fact hurt you....do you know where the closest major river in demon territory is?" She asked Grace, then looked at Jak who was simply watching the two. "Read that and soak up some information." She ordered, and Jak obeyed immediately.
