Sage worked wit ha serious look on his face. His lips were thinned and eyes narrowed to concentrate. Sage stayed silent, but listened to El humming.

"Why not?" Amethyst asked looking up at him. She had no idea where he would want to do that, but just let that go.

Ice made sure to take a seat far away from the king and queen. She set to work thinking of a autumnal story for her presence.

El's mind then proceeded to recount every single event she had been with Sage at. Healing ceremonies, balls, hunts, all the way up until that night. Then he shut her out. She stopped abruptly in the middle of her song, knife cutting too far into the meat. "Why did you think I hated you?" She asked, her voice low.

"Because, I have something to show you." Heath responded, gently leading her off of the path and into the woods.

"Now, we will begin the feast. Do not worry, each and every one of you will get a chance to dance with Rowan, starting now. The rest will stay here and enjoy the meal our cooks have provided." The queen said, gesturing to the food that had just been set out. Rowan stood stiffly, and offered his arm. One girl stood up immediately and flounced over. "We will go clockwise from her seat." The queen said. "Let the celebration begin!" The king announced, and a band began to play. Rowan met the eyes of the beautiful girl he had seen earlier from across the table. He could've sworn he knew her from somewhere...."My name is Amanda." The girl said, grabbing his arm. He smiled politely, breaking eye contact with the other girl. "Pleasure to meet you Amanda, shall we dance?"

Ices eyes widened and she bagan to curse sigltntlt. She had planned to slipp out while there was crush of girls wanting to dance with Rowan. Now she needed a new plan, and fast. She was three girls away.

Sage stopped and looked at El, "I don't know exactly, but It was probably because of me..." He started on the meat quickly and sighed. He hated how he had treated her, but he could never take it back.

Amethyst cocked her head and then followed, "Alrighty then." She looked around to try and memorize where she was going.

Rowan led Amanda back to her seat, offering his arm to the next of the girls. She grinned and took it, he smiled politely again and repeated his routine. He became a robot in this situation, blocking out himself and letting in his royalty. It was the only way he didn't explode.

"You did everything possible to sweep me off my feet, starting with the day we met, and then suddenly when I finally gave you my heart you shut me out. You acted like you hated me. And you're saying it's because you thought I hated you? Or because I was in your way? Because the latter of the two seems like the most logical." El said, the years of bitter torture rolling through her mind. He wouldn't even spare her a glance.

Heath led her through the trees, weaving back and forth. He jumped over a log, and offered his arms up to catch her. He had a feeling she would ignore them completely though, knowing her.

Ices mind was still churning for an escape route as Rowan danced with the girl next to her. Unable to think of an escape route that wouldn't raise questions she would rather not answer, she glumly resigned herself to her fate.

Sage finished and got up. He went over to her not looking the nicest with blood on his hands and clothes. "El...I didn't mean to make you feel that way, i promise. I had messed up and I'm very sorry." Sage knelt down next to her and put a hand on her jaw gently. He wouldn't be surprised if she moved away, because he knew she was upset with him.

Amethyst took one hand and stepped down. She let go and waited for him to keep going.

Rowan danced with the next two girls, his face the same bland grin and the conversation the same stupid things. However, when he reached the next girl, he couldn't help but let his eyes light up a little. Quickly, he collected himself and smiled, offering his arm. "Hello miss." He said, still not able to recognize her.

El looked up at him slowly, her eyes brimming with tears. "I did everything possible to forget you. So sorry if I seem a little angry, but it's just a little odd for you to come waltzing in here after years of hatred and say that you're sorry." She said, getting up and walking out of the tree. She couldn't stop herself from crying, walking around to the other side of the trunk and leaning her head on it.

Heath raised an eyebrow but said nothing, leading her toward the destination. He came to a creek and stopped, looking over at Amethyst. "I can carry you, it's a little deep." He offered.

Sage watched her go, "you know what your right. You should never forgive me for what had did to you. I spent every single day of my life, EVERY single day, of you, but i don't know why I did that." He walked to the entrance. "I've finished and I'll go now. I promise not to ignore you, but you have every right to do it back to me." Sage walked out of the tree and walked into the shadows.

Amethyst shook her head, "I can do it." She walked up, looked in to see if it was safe, and then walked in. Amethyst had walked through many types of creeks and rivers. She didn't even bother to lift up her raggedy, blue dress.
