Aileen tightened the saddle and quickly slipped off the martingale. She tied the reins of the frightned animal onto a nearby post and started unlokcing and heaving open stall doors, she found a halter for each horse and panicked to put them on, each horse was distressed and un-obiedent but she pressed on, determined to save their lives as long as her own. Then one by one her quick and experienced fingers tied the halters together to form a large rope with the horses connected to one another in a line-up of some sort, leaning down for a break she was choked by the smoke. Wiping the sweat from her thin brows she tied the long halter-made rope onto the horse she had just dis-mounted and quickly remounted him, then quickly and swiftly she kicked him into a full canter and hurried off with all the horses close together. She had perfected her canter without posting and felt comfortable even dispite the extremely bumpy ride,
