.:Vitani:.
Be assured that a walk
through the sea of most souls,
Would barely get your feet wet.
Vitani stood in her place of the crowds, her body shivering, not due to the wind, but her fright of what was about to happen, the young girl had no idea how to use any weapons, however, she had done face-painting for the younger children of the district, therefore, she could do well with camouflage. Hopefully. She watched as the person walked to the front of the stage, she didn't take any notice of what they looked like, she was too busy worrying.
"Nzuri Vitani."
Vitani flinched, hearing her name being called, yet not believing it, as no one else walked to the front, she was forced to believe that it was her name. She shakily took a step forewords, getting sympathetic pats on the back from her peers.
.:Luke:.
You are a fluke of the universe.
You have no right to be here.
And whether you can hear it or not
The universe is laughing behind your back.
Luke sighed, watching the person at the front. He narrowed his eyes slightly, glaring at them as they swirled their hand around the jar. The teenager didn't look very healthy, his skin was pale, and looked slot paler due to the scruffy dark hair that fell just past his chin, and covered his dark, green eyes. he was skinny, very skinny. And underneath the clothes he had been forced into, his ribs showed. At first glance he looked like most boys at his district, however, at a closer look, one would notice the bones that showed where they should have been covered in a healthy layer of fat. Luke shifts his position slightly, waiting for the boy's name to be called, yet dreading the moment that it was, his name had been put in a few times, much to his disliking, he sighs, looking down at his feet and not really hearing the name as it was called.
"Luke Torbay."
After a few moments he looks up, to find most eyes on him, "No.." he whispers, "No.. It can't be.." he gasps as his arms is taken, as he was lead to the front he shook his head vigorously, "No, you've got the wrong person.. It can't be me.." he attempted to yell, though his voice caught in his throat, and it came out as a whisper. He felt all eyes on him as he was dragged to the front, and as always, he ignored them.
