(Alright, you're accepted. The form messing up was my fault with the mistake of entering the wrong thing. As long as Ceon's age is 40 and not 51, he's good. We may start later tonight and I will make the first post. It will be at least after 9 PM EST and it might be tomorrow, I'm not sure about my schedule as of now.)

(Alright we are officially starting!)

~Ciang~

I love the night sky around the fortress. The height reduces the noise from the town, and the blockage of the clouds. The wind blows freely here, not impeded by the trees. Thus, this night as most others before, I stood on the top of the tower, letting the breeze blow through my hair. It was summer and the night was beautifully clear. My eyes were closed and yet I knew what was going on around me. There was a deer running through the meadow around the fortress, there was an owl soaring up above me. And, as normal, there was Danika, sitting on the roof on the other end of the fortress.

~Danika~

Because I had been at the fortress long enough, I had developed some habits. One of these was sitting on the roof at night. No matter the temperature or weather, I could be found on the roof and staring up at the sky. On this night, I was staring at the sky. The moon was gone, allowing the stars to gently shine over everything and illuminate the roof in an easy glow. I gently traced the edge of the larger dagger I posessed before sticking it back into my boot. It was just after 4 AM, meaning that the sun would be rising soon. THhre was no hint of it yet, but soon the edge of the sky would be graced with faint traces of orange.

~Haplo~

I quietly traipsed through the forest, hunting a deer that treaded through the trees as silently as I. The forest was only about a 5 minutes walk from the fortress, but far enough away that I could barely make out the outline of the building. After a few minutes I managed to climb a tree near the deer. It wandered underneath me and I leapt down, stabbing it and killing it instantly. Smiling, I cleaned my sword and sheathed it before dragging the deer back.

Zev shifted on his perch as he watched Talon swooping above. He didn't come to the roof often but he enjoyed the height that allowed him to watch over the nearby area. He knew Ciang was on the tower above him but he didn't feel like bothering her tonight. Talon swooped down lower, her flight near soundless, then turned and flew off. Morning's coming huh? He moved back from the roof's edge and returned to his sleeping place to grab his pouch. He normally slept on the roof to avoid the other assassins though the only other thing he owned was the dark gray blanket he slept under. He picked up the blanket and folded it before hiding it away again, then he turned and headed inside the fortress.

Kiyla yawned and rolled over on her mat, she could just make out the shapes of the other children sleeping nearby and smiled. Slowly she rose to her feet, careful not to disturb anyone, and made her way into the little kitchen area. One of the caretakers was already up and working on breakfast so Kiyla slipped past her and out into the main room. I'll have to wake them up soon but that can wait for now.... She slipped out the front door and smiled as she felt the chill of the pre-dawn wind.

*~ Male II 29 II Finger II Soon to asassinate ~*

The soft glow from the moon overhead cast the shadows of the night to stretch long and wide. A blessing to any assassin, as Greeve walked silently within these shadows of the village nearby. An assignment was given out by one of the villagers and he took up the task mainly due to the high pay it was offering. One of the many earls was visiting this quaint town and now was the perfect time to dispose of the man who taxed heavily upon his lands. Although he may have been known as a tyrant to some ,that was not why Greeve had chosen to kill the man, though it did provide a hint of pleasure to the deed. The earl was staying in one of the larger town homes as Greeve scaled a nearby wall and alighted on it's rooftop. The house was two stories tall and made of fine wood, although the shingles could do with some repair, as he carefully made his way across to the inner courtyard. Some candles illuminated the garden below and the familiar image of his target stood talking to a nearby guard. This would prove to be a more messy kill since there were four guards total but it could not be helped as time was of the essence. He gathered himself for the plunge as he released his hidden blade and dropped below onto an unsuspecting guard.

Time now appeared to be going slower as adrenaline rushed his veins and he plunged his hidden blade into the guard's aorta neck vein, killing the man almost instantly as he bled quickly to the floor. Rushing forward, another guard turned only to be met with Greeve's long sword plunged through his chest cavity and tumbling down dead. Now the other two guards were on full alert as the first tried to pierce him with a twelve foot pike. However, Greeve was able to nimbly dodge the attack by just inches while also forcing the pike into the guards comrade. Watching the horror stuck face of what had just happened, the last guard had little time to grieve as Greeve slammed the mans head down on his knee and then effectively snapping his neck. The rush was now over in what lasted only a few moments as four guards lay dead and the earl cowered before him on his knees. "P-please, don't kill me! You can take anything, kill my family first but just leave me be!" Greeve was not amused as he stared down at the cowering figure, his hood covered his dark features and only a few strands of his silver hair had gotten loose during the fight. It was always sickening to see his targets cower but worse then that he despised when they offered up their own family's instead. "It is people such as yourself that do not deserve the right to live..." Greeve's voice was hoarse but deep as he spoke softly to the earl "May your gods show mercy upon your pitiful life." A short scream was cut off as Greeve lopped the man's head from his body. Only taking the earl's emblem to prove his kill to his employer, he quickly and silently left the premises before the other guards could see the damage.

Greeve had had enough of this little town ,and promptly acquired his steed he had borrowed from the assassins, from the outskirts of the forests. He knew an alarm would be sounded at the earls death but the job was done and he would soon report back to his employer for payment. The rolling fields and forests landscape passed him by as he urged the mount to move swiftly into the night to where the last known location was of the person who hired him. Pulling the horse to a stop at a nearby crossroads, a cloaked figure appeared nearby. It was clearly a female as she spoke softly and handed him a rather large pouch of gold "For your efforts assassin. I assume you killed the man?" Greeve took the pay and placed it within his own cloak "The deed is done. You will be hearing of it soon enough." A small smile could be barely see but the woman merely nodded and faded back into the shadows. Greeve soon turned away as well and back towards the base which was not too far off. He followed all the roads and markers only known to the assassins as he made his way back. Looking up only briefly to see the base outlined against a now pale morning sky, he noticed a figure standing in the towers but brought his attention back to the doors as they opened for one of their assassins. The feeling of being home was a relief but usually short lived as he dismounted his horse and gave it to one of the stable hands. Greeve decided to take this opportunity to rest as the sun began to peak and the skies turned a soft hue of orange and blue.

(No it's quite alright! My openers are normally much longer than what I did here. And most of the time, just FYI, the missions are from townspeople that was to hire an assassin. Ciang rarely gives them out.)

Most nights when he had nothing to do Mercer, would stay cooped up in his quarters to mix poisons and experiment with them. Currently he was sitting at a small table that was cluttered with various apparatuses, bags filled with various ingredients, stacks of parchments with successful recipes. Off in the corner were cages with a few rodents that had stumbled into the castle that he would test his poisons on. Mercer had wished he had more humans to experiment with but beggars can't be choosers. Besides he could experiment as much as he wanted on people while out on a job, though that was always a little risky. Currently he had been working on a new poison, one that caused a strong, long lasting case of paralysis. It would be certainly helpful in making deaths seem like accidents or during contracts with minimal bloodshed. A small ray of sun shone through his window, causing him to turn and look towards it. Morning, already? he thought, walking over towards the window peeking outside. He was rather dedicated about researching and experimenting with poisons but often Mercer would lose track of time. Sometime he would miss meals and hours of sleep because of it. Mercer heard his stomach growl and thought, some food wouldn't go amiss. He exited his quarters and began to walk through the hallways.

*~ Female II 25 II Finger II Enjoying a meal. ~*

The sudden sounds of the large base doors opening brought Hawk's attention to who had returned. Making her way from her quarters to the front of the base she saw the large man Greeve enter after the sun had just risen. She herself had slept all night since she had no prior contracts to attend to but it seemed their stoic friend had just returned from one of his assassinations. Hawk was prone to socializing out of habit and since Greeve was only a few years older than her and they were both fingers, she made her way over to the weary figure who appeared tired. "Long night out? Not with a special lady I presume." She enjoyed teasing others but usually when she tried to tease Greeve it was like talking to a brick wall "The only female I came in contact with tonight was my employer and no one else." Hawk gave him a narrowed gaze as he stonewalled her question, she supposed it really was none of her business and all she had to do was to go down to the village to hear of who was killed recently. "Fine, I know how much you hate it when people pry into your life. How about a meal then, I just woke and could certainly go for some food." Greeve gave a small nod as his long strides carried him inside the base and towards a food supplier. Hawk quickly followed as her lighter from brought her swiftly to the other assassins side and they each paid for a loaf of bread and some quality mutton. Hawk noticed how Greeve paid with a single gold coin and deducted that whoever he killed last night had a high enough pay on their heads to attract the stoic man. Taking a seat on a nearby bench she watched as he brought back his hood to reveal his seldom seen face. She tried her best to ignore it but the man rarely showed himself and she couldn't help note the scars and long silver hair that was pulled back. Taking a bite from her bread she savored the taste as the two sat quietly and enjoyed their morning meal.

~Danika~

I made my way down from the roof easily, deciding to use my secret method instead of the door. Most often I simply used a stairwell and door to reach the roof, but sometimes I favored the wall. In a small indent, hidden behind a pine, there was an indent in the wall. A few chunks of brick were gone, providing handholds. I simply scampered up or down the wall, shielded by the pine the entire time. Once I reached ground level, I headed inside to find Hawk and Greeve eating. I sat in a chair over by the wall and grabbed an apple, eating slowly.

~Haplo~

I finally managed to reach the fortress just as the first rays of sunlight broke over the mountains. I walked into the kitchen and dropped the deer onto the floor by the door to the meat locker. "Not bad for one man, huh?" I grabbed a cleaver and began to cut it in preparation for storage. I eyed the other occupants of the kitchen, noting that Ciang wasn't up yet, or down yet. I shrugged and continued on.

~Ciang~

As soon as the first beam of light reached me, I walked back inside my tower and headed down to the main room. My robe was over my shoulders, trailing behind me as I walked briskly. I entered and saw many familiar faces. Most were ignoring each other, as usual, and Haplo was busy cutting up his kill. I spared him a friendly glance before proceeding to grab myself a bicuit with some honey. I walked over to a window and looked outside, watching the sun rise.

Zev leaned against the wall by the stairwell, letting his eyes adjust to the light as he scanned the room. Most he noted were busy eating and he smiled faintly when he spotted Ciang, revealing his pointed teeth for a split second. She was his alpha, the pack leader in this place and the only one he respected. She always reminded him of the alpha of his old pack, not that he ever told anyone about such things. Finally he slipped away from the wall, grabbed an apple, and ducked into another shadow closer to the main doors.

Kiyla smiled at the sunrise and slowly slipped back inside, through the main room, and back to the kitchen. The other caretakers were up now and breakfast would soon be set. As she slipped past them back to the sleeping room a few nodded or smiled in her direction. She returned the greetings then slipped into the sleeping room and began to wake the other orphans up. Most got up easily enough and headed straight to the dining room, already awoken by the smell of food, but others she had to drag from their mats. Once everyone was awake Kiyla slipped into the dining room herself and took her place at the table.
