Aurae: This planet-spanning technocracy was noted for its advanced electronics and city-building. It was destroyed by a neighboring civilization because of the people's extreme jealousy, leaving behind only ruins.

The year is 4124. One hundred years ago, the Alius Project was started by NASA. The goal of the Alius Project was to colonize planets that are no longer civilized, so that the population of Earth could become a lesser number. After exploring various planets, the astronauts of the Alius Project stumbled upon Aurae, a seemingly deserted planet. After sending in archaeolgists and other scientists, they figured out the above statements about Aurae. Soon enough, people were being sent in spaceships to colonize this foreign land. Fifty people were sent to Aurae every twenty years. But fifteen years ago, Earth lost contact with the new civilization on Aurae. You, along with 49 other people, were on the last ship sent to Aurae. You have finally arrived there. And there are no humans to be found.

Aurae is not what they said it would be. We were wrong, oh so wrong. That jealous, neighboring civilization from the other planet they talked about? They're not gone, they're here, on Aurae. They've come back right after the people before you arrived on Aurae. They killed them all off. After taking all the resources they needed from Aurae and dumping their radioactive waste here, they left for their own planet, probably many light years away. Hopefully, this time they're gone for good. However, Aurae has been stripped clean of most of the life there. Little to no trees or animals. You have arrived here, and you cannot go back. No fuel for the spaceship, either. And there is much radioactivity here, that certain..mutations are appearing in all the people who have come here. Whether they start getting green skin, or suddenly have the ability to see long distances, everyone is changing. Now, you need to find a way to survive in this barren world, and maybe reestablish the civilization that was destroyed not too long ago.

General Setting

About Aurae: Aurae is a planet with a single, vast super-continent of the same name. There are various streams and rivers going through the land, and a few canals set up by the previous life forms, whether it be the people or the original residents of Aurae. There are many old, crumbling buildings set up at well. These buildings have unfamiliar technology that may or may not still be working. Utilize them at your own will. The newer buildings have been created by humans, so you are more accustomed to them and probably know how to work them better than the other technology. Before the others civilization came, Aurae was a lush region with many forests and a wide variety animal species, very different from the ones found on Earth. Afterwards, however, the forests and animals became fewer in numbers, but still remained. But after the second time the 'Others' came, these once large and magnificent forests became almost nonexistent, with only a few of them group close together. One of these forests is near the area your spaceship has landed. Among the few animals that are left are a some genetically modified birds and horses that the past groups of people brought along with them. Luckily, your group of people have a large supply of seeds. However, it is up to you how and when you will grow them, since they will not all grow bountifully in this new environment. So most of your food at hand will be canned goods. You will have to scavenge for food sources, some of them unfamiliar to you. Berries? They may be poisonous. Grain? They might be contaminated. Rules

• No power playing or perfect characters, which means no extremely powerful skills they have gained because of the radiation.

• Romance and similar drama are allowed, but this Role Play is not based around it
• If you curse, star it out
• Adding in your own ideas and action is encouraged! However, large plot twists should be run by me first, so that I can accept it.
• If someone asks for a recap, then give them one and do not ignore them, it's rude
• Be realistic with what you write {or at least as realistic as you can be}. For example, if you find a gun, there will not be an infinite amount of ammo.
• Be creative, and have fun! :)

History: I'd rather not talk about it. Lorena was born on April 24th in New York City. She lived there until she was nine. She had her mother, father, and older brother Aidan. However, Lorena's mother had cancer. The treatments didn't work, and she died when Lorena was six years old. Her father, the dead-beat dad that he was, left Lorena and her brother, Brennan, a year later. Lorena was seven, and Brennan was sixteen. Brennan took care of her for as long as he could, but he couldn't do this forever. Lorena's grandmother took her to her home in California. However, after Lorena's grandmother died of old age, she signed up to go to Aurae, in hopes of finding a new life.
Personality: I don't really know how to describe myself. But I guess I worry a lot, and can get really off topic sometimes. Adding to that, Lorena is a shy and quiet girl. Or at least, she is when you first meet her. Once she begins to talk to a person for a little longer, she will open up more. However, it doesn't take long for Lorena to do this. Some may say that Lorena is overly trustful. Lorena is also naїve. She hasn't faced reality yet. Lorena has opinions of the world that others are quick to disagree with. Lorena likes to think the best of anyone when she firsts meets them, even if they're not the nicest person to her. But that's only when she first meets someone, mind you. Lorena is not one of the girls who loves everyone and never has anything bad to say about someone. If she later decides she dislikes a person, or doesn't like the way the person act around her, her opinion will not change until the person does something to sway the way she thinks of them. Lorena is not a big fan of going out to party or do a lot of things other teens her age would deem as "fun." Lorena is perfectly happy relaxing outside with a book in her hand. Lorena is a practical, level-headed girl who likes to plan and think thing through before she does anything. And she can be quite stubborn, too, at times.

Personality:
Tyler is a girl with four different sides of her; Calm, Angry, Shy and, what she calls, 'In her bubble'.

Lets start with number one: Calm. When Tyler is like this, she is normally smiling. Its one of those very rare times in life when you could actually tack to her without her freaking out. If you ever wanted to go out with her, that would be the best time to ask. Its like she's a whole new person, and an incredibly sweet one at that. She would never hurt somebody intentionally.

Next is Anger. Never try to talk to her when she's like this, it will only end in tears, often hers. When this happens, her anger consumes her, and Tyler often lashes out with harsh words, but never attacks people physically apart from in serious cases. She always wants to take whatever she said back though immediately afterwards, but probably on't apologize until days later. But this only happens, like, twice a year.

After that is Shy. This is what Bryn's like most of the time. When she's being shy, she would jump at almost anything, and probably won't talk after. This is because everyone she's ever met always laughs at her afterwards, which effects her hugely. Bryn considers herself a completely awkward, backward kind of girl, and anything like somebody laughing or smirking at her damages her self-esteem considerably. But once you get past that, you'll see just how nice and sweet she is.

And last is when she's in 'The Bubble'. This only happens when Bryn is intensely happy, which isn't often, or when she is in the middle of some sort of art or music thing. For example, if Tyler sat down on a park bench and then saw something particularly interesting, she would immediately take out her sketchpad and a pencil and draw manically, and would go into her bubble, where nothing can break her out of her trance unless they touch her. Or maybe when she's singing to herself in her room, Bryn would be totally unaware of anyone else in the room until they laugh or comment about it.
