General Description: Nancy is not beautiful. The first time you look at her you will probably see her as common, if not somewhat unattractive. She is somewhat pretty, though, and she has this striking quality to her that only very weak and very strong people have, in this case strong. Her skin is pale and she has dark circles under her eyes at most times, either from worry or from lack of sleep no one has been able to decipher. Having lived in the streets all her life has aged her, not only emotionally but also physically, and she looks older than she is. Nancy is not one of those girls that have a look of naiveté or freshness about them even though she is seventeen and should still have that look, she’s made hard choices and had hard experiences that have made her look experienced. She is thin from not having enough food to eat but naturally tall. Her hair is naturally curly and usually in some sort of messy bun that she makes in the morning and leaves it up until evening. You must be asking me how someone like this can ever appear pretty but she can. Perhaps it’s not so much her physical appearance but her manner and her air sometimes which seem touching or maybe the way her smile, even though her teeth are not perfect, is beautiful and makes her appear her proper age. She has hair which is, naturally, a brown colour that is almost light enough to be considered light brown but not quite, but her hair is usually filthy or at least messy and it seems darker, sometimes almost black. Her face is somewhat broad; her eyes are an indescribable shade of brown somewhere in between dark brown and black; her lips are somewhat thin and always look somewhat pink, despite her paleness, and she rarely ever smiles unless someone manages to bring out the kindness behind the brave front she puts up. Nancy owns only three pieces of clothing, three old, worn, dresses which usually look dirty because she lacks the time to wash them and the money to afford a washing machine. She owns a single pair of shoes, boots. Her clothes are simple and shabby somewhat but she is rather proud and though she may not appear to be self-conscious she is a little.

Personality: She was brought up in a hardly proper and mostly dark environment and sometimes she is confused by her choices but she understands something a lot of adults don’t, Nancy is capable of good and evil and she understands that. She grew up in the streets and has been a thief ever since she could walk and talk growing up like that anyone would have thought she would turn into someone who is evil, corrupted, and at the least has no sense of right or wrong. Well, at least on her part that is wrong. Nancy knows that she has done wrong in her life, she has made many mistakes, and done immoral things but she recognises those mistakes and knows that she can’t change them. She has a very complex character, you may say, and I will do my best to explain it but it may not come out perfect and I will develop it more when I role-play her. Nancy sometimes thinks that it is too late to turn out of this bad life she was born into and that her mistakes have already made her who is she is now but sometimes she realizes that she hasn’t been completely changed by her past and that she wishes to do good. She is also very courageous, not fearless because she has fears, but she is most definitively brave and she the courage to do what she feels she must do and stand up to whom she thinks she must. Despite that, she is awfully loyal to those she loves. She is loyal to the point of suffering to protect someone she loves, even if they don’t love her back. When she takes a fondness to somebody, an occasion which can be considered rare, she will do anything to protect them and sacrifice anything, even her own life. That is one of the things that she was born with, a virtue which has not been corrupted by her past but may turn into a flaw depending on the circumstances. Due to her mistakes and background, Nancy has put up a barrier that makes her appear strong to anyone who sees her and she gives off the appearance that she is resistant, can fend for herself, and does not buckle easily. Even though she does not show it often, she does have a soft and kind side which some people only manage to wring out of her. Usually, the people whom she is kind to are people who are innocent and remind her of the innocence she once had, too. Nancy turns exasperated sometimes because she thinks she is irredeemable and she has gone too far but she also secretly hopes that she can do something good. She is actually a very noble person, she just doesn’t realize it. Nancy does not know how to spell correctly and barely knows how to write, her speech is often lacking in the grammar department, and though she does not have a very good education she is mostly polite and in no way dumb, she is what can be described as “street-smart” and Nancy is in no way easy to fool. She secretly wishes that she could be forgiven for her faults and just start anew.

History: As I may have mentioned several times already, Nancy was born in the streets and raised there. She does not remember her parents at all and she has been thieving ever since she could walk and talk. When she was a little girl a thief began to teach her how to steal and she had not choice but to help him since she had known nothing else of life and he had threatened her. She worked for him for her whole life and she still occasionally does now. She has been threatened a lot in her life and she has made a lot of mistakes, turning down a dark path early in her life and now thinking she can’t turn back.
