Lily had had the same idea as Jake, and was climbing as high as possible in the house. It seemed that the house was almost cross shaped, and that each little point of the cross had its own tower. She was in the part of the cross that the main entrance to the house was in. She ascended the steps as high as they went into the tower room, which had a small candle burning in the corner. For some reason, that didn't freak her out. Maybe it was because the light in the tower room had been the thing that attracted her to enter the house. Or maybe it was the knowledge that she was not the only person in the house, maybe one of them had a lighter or some matches and had lit the candle. "Uhh... Not exactly. You don't generally class your sister as a damsel to save. She's more of the friend from the hero's town that he is really close to, that always gets captured and held for ransom by the minor bad guys, and the hero has to decide whether to save the damsel or his oldest, dearest friend. If that made any sense," Lee smiled at the little girl, Leila, she had said her name was.
"So how long have you been stuck in this place?" he asked her, relaxing against the wall and resting his feet on the opposite barrier. "I've been here for two days-ish," he explained, watching her closely. He noted how excited she looked when talking about the fairy-tale thing.
