Aka sniffed the air, curling up, resting his head on his tail. He flicked his ears forwards, hearing noises in the shadows... He was a coward, and he would openly admit it. "Aya? Aya is that you?" He mewed again, like a lost kitten. Even with his mane, he felt as small as a cub.

"NO!" Beth shouted. Seeing the look of shock on Tammi's face she calmed down to say "Look... she's just betrayed us to the army. None of us really want to talk about her."

"I hear noises. Like cats..." said Kat. "Outside the clearing.." ((She's a unnatrully good hearer. Comes from living with cats))

Aka mewed again, he was frightened. He wanted Aya to pad through the bushes and comfort him. He was always a coward, she was the brave one... He needed her here with him.

Beth let her thoughts creep out. She wasn't as good as Atki, but she could sense where people were. Suddenly she sat up straight. "Oh my God! You're right! It's..." She concentrated hard. A bead of sweat ran down her forehead. "Someone called... Aka? Aya?" She thought for a moment. "Who is that?"

"Someone we don't know, and dont want to know. We can't chase him off, or we'll reveal where we are.. He'll get trapped soon anyways.."

Aka mewed again, getting to his feet. What was he doing, he had to be strong for Aya... And for their parents. He was a lion shifter, about time he started acting like one. He strutted forwards, shrieking as a bear trap snapped at his ankle. He jumped backwards just in time, narrowly avoiding serious injury. What was this place? Now he knew that something was off about this grove.

"He's here" groaned Kat. "Lets just hope there isn't a battleon"
