Comet finds a rabbit and kills it with a knife. She drools slightly and hangs it on a tree in the sun to dry. She sees a small cave and walks in

Whe Vitaily woke up in the morning, she started out. She assumed that Darren was still in the cave nearby, but she still wanted a cave to sleep in. That ledge was pretty out in the open, and it wasn't the safest place to be sleeping either. She sat on the ledge and pushed her tarp back into her bag, but only after she had pulled the mortar tube out of her bag, and put it on top. She grabbed one of the packs of raisins and emptied half of it into her mouth, sticking the rest in a side pocket. She drank a few gulps of water, but her stomach still ached for food. She couldn't see the group of tributes she was looking for, so decided to keep looking through the caves.

She walked hesitantly into to first cave she came to, other than Darren's cave, staying close to the entrance and ready to flee. She didn't make the same mistake twice. In the back she saw a pair of people who were very close. She ducked behind a nearby rock, but as she did, her left foot caused a small stone to skitter across the cave floor.

Comet sees a larger cave nearby and walks into it. She sees two tributes and then a stone skidder across the floor

Graymark smiled "of course i am" he said in his low raspy voice "i've been watching over the boy in the back there, ever since he was a child and working in their lumber yards" he looked away from Dagger and growled at Vitaily

Flint grabbed the hatchet again "another tribute." he hissed "And Comet! when is the nightlock going to kill her?!?!" he whispered

Twinkle stared at the hatchet. You dare use it on my girl... she thought, pressing againt Comet.

Vitaily looked at the fourth tribute to enter the cave. She appeared to be in a fine condition. She hadn't heard the wolf growl, but she gave a nod to the other tribute to get out. Vitaily hated to have to leave this cave so soon, but there didn't seem to be much of a choice. She made a quick sprint to the entrance, hoping the others would be as distracted by the other girl as she had first been.
