Vitaily lost it at the sight of the wolf. She didn't care that the other tribute had a knife, and she didn't hear his words at all. She simply screamed, and ran behind him. She was terrified of wolves and dogs, much more so than she could be of any tribute. At least she had had enough sense to avoid the knife as she went to hide behind boy.

Vitaily just cowered, wrapping her hands around her head and stuffing it between her knees. She didn't dare speak with the wolf in there. She wasn't too scared about the boy really, her backpack was full of stuff, and covering the only part of her exposed to him other than her right arm, which really didn't seem like a major part to her. She was literally shaking out of terror of the wolf. She did remember how badly one of her younger brothers had been injured when one had gotten through the barrier around district 7. He was lucky he had lived.

Moon sniffed the girl. She seems...afraid she finally decided. Darren felt bad for the girl...almost enough to ask her if she wanted to be his ally. No. Remember Racheal. he thought. It was a long time before Vitaily was brave enough to lift her head. The fact that things were silent had led her to think that perhaps the wolf had gone. She regretted lifing her head. The wolf was still there, and she was still trapped in this cave. She let out a small squeak, obviously a stiffled scream, and pulled her head back down. She was not happy. Very not happy.
