Darren looked straight at Shatter. His eyes looked challenging, like he was daring Shatter to fight. Really, he just wanted the wolves to kill him.

Troy looked at the gathering wolves. They can't climb he told himself. Then he looked back at Flint. "You wanna be like Darren? Begging to die?" he said. His knife sat next to him. He flipped his spear in the air, caught it, then smiled at Flint. His eyes were hard and he didn't look like he was joking.

Flint tried to keep a straight face but failed "you think little tricks like tha scare me?" he chuckled until seeing the wolves. his jaw tightened

Darren had an idea. He climbed up the tree. Troy watched him, What is he doing? he thought. Then he laughed. Was he gonna try and kill him? Please. Darren sat down and smiled at Troy. What in the world? Troy thought. He was mad now. "Why are you smiling?!" Troy growled. "Why do you care?" Darren said. Something is wrong with him! Troy decided.

Flint sighed "great" he waited for the wolves to charge

"I bet you can't kill Flint. I bet you are too scared" Darren said. "I can too kill him!"' Troy snapped. Darren rolled his eyes. "Yeah Right" he said. Troy was enraged. "Just watch me!" he snapped, aiming his spear straight at Flint. He hesitated, then put it down. Maybe he's right Troy thought. I can't kill anybody, just hurt them

Flint took advantage of the moment's hesitation and threw his hatchet at Troy's stomach, as it flew it was directly on target

Shatter watced and as the scent of blood hit his nose the pack stalked out of the bushes and looked up at Troy drool dripping out of their mouths and onto the grounds as their mouths watered in hunger.

Jacob and Glacier rammed there heavy bodys into the tree trunk causing the tree roots to pop and crack as they eroded out of the earth.The tree cracked lowly as it started falling.They barked and yipped happily bounce like a rabbit towards the pack.The bounded past Flint.Jacob stopped suddenly while Glaicer bounded to the pack.He looked Flint inthe eye and licked his lips watching him curiously,he stomach grumbling lightly with hunger.
