District 4 ~ Male Tribute ~ 15 years
Mood: So-so

Location: Train

"Nope. I don't know about you, but killing people doesn't sound very fun," Brady shrugs, a bit unhappy that he couldn't cheer up his mentor. "Who'll be out to get me?" he asks, confused. He turned to the escort, mismatched eyes unreadable. "Scared? Unlikely. Scary for you Capitol people? Maybe." He flashed her an innocent smile before boarding the train with Grant, walking backwards so he could look at the older boy. "So, Grant Odair, is it? That was an... interesting performance for the Games last year. The star-crossed lovers act was pretty cool too."

(Sorry! I couldn't be on for long :( I only had wifi for a small bit then :( )

~Grant Odair~

Role: Mentor
Location: Train to Capitol
Feeling: Horrible, but slightly better
Status: Dating Josslyn Foxwood
Crush: Josslyn Foxwood
Talking to: Braden

"The Careers, that's who." Grant said plainly, answering Braden's second statement/question. "And if you just-so-happen to remember anything from last year's Games, you'd figure out why. Don't trust them this year. They'll end up stabbing you in the back." Grant looked back up at Dolores and Isla, having to hear what the escort was saying. When she finished, Grant heard Braden call his star-crossed lovers thing an act. The mentor didn't look back down at the tribute, eyes taking on a bit more of a serious tone. "It wasn't an act." He said quietly, and the defensiveness could bearly be detected in his voice. But, Braden's comment did have one bonus: Josslyn. It lightened Grant's dark mood a little bit, reminding him that they would get to see each other again soon. A moment later, he broke from his thoughts about Joss and looked back at Braden, the first small hint of friendliness in his voice. "Don't eat the food here; it's crap." Sure, the humor was very small, but enough to be told.

~Grace~

Grace was taken by Peacekeepers a moment later to the train tracks. The train wasn't there yet, but the adults were. She looked up at Josslyn, frowning. And, of course, when she spoke, her voice was very quiet. "Do you like these Games? And I'm sorr-" The girl stopped herself, not liking to talk much, and knowing mentioning Hershi would be a good idea. "Is there anything to look forward to?" Honestly, a thought kept nagging at the back of Grace's mind. Would Josslyn make a good mentor, or would she break down in tears at certain points because of Hershi being picked? I could just train myself, or sneak in with other mentors. They'd never notice me. But, by looking over Josslyn's composure, Grace could guess she might hold through.

Brady nods when Grant talks about the Careers, the escort's words going unnoticed as his full attention was put onto Grant. Then, his mentor wouldn't look at him. Why...? "It wasn't an act." So, he was actually in love with that District 9 chick? Everyone in District 4 had been so sure that he was acting... "Oh. Sorry for bringing it up, sir," the boy ruffles his blonde hair, kismatched eyes carefully avoiding Grant's gaze. He cracked a small smile at the food comment. "I'll try not to."

Josslyn's icy blue gaze darted to Grace, expression unreadable. Once the escort was out of earshot, she shook her head. "The Games is the most inhumane activity the Capitol has ever come up with. A slaughterhouse to spill the blood of innocent children as punishment for those already destroyed. A fight to the death for the Capitol's sick and twisted entertainment. I don't dislike the Hunger Games; I hate them with all my being." Her voice was as cold as ice, a flash of hatred in her blue eyes as she looked down st the little girl. When Grace stopped from giving her sympathy about Hershi, she actually gave her a grateful nod. Thennthe next question. "Emotionally speaking, if you die you don't have to suffer in Panem no longer. Physically, there will be much pain of different sorts; exhaustion, starvation, illness, death, dehydration. Stay away from the Careers. Maybe if you two stuck together we could win this thing." The girl's tone sounded professional, formal; as if making plans with mature adults. "I won't lie; there is a good chance one or both of you will die." She winced sighlty, the only weakness shown. "But there is a better possibility for your survival if we train hard and stay determined. Don't trust anyone except for each other. Kill only when necessary." She fell silent as the escort waved them onto the train, looking to Hershi. The teen grabbed his sister's hand, and then the mentor looked over to Grace expectantly. "Let's go, then. And don't expect me to hold your hand." At that, she gave a small smile to the tribute.

Grant shrugged. "Whatever." Grant looked back down at Brady, hands in his pockets. "Just to say, not all their food is bad. Don't starve yourself. That's my job. Feast a bit before we begin training." Grant looked up and out of the window, seeing District Four beginning to whiz by. "Also, disregard anything Dolores says. Those Capitol people are freaks." He paused, thinking about if he should start talking about what they should expect now. Nah, save his breath until both tributes are there. He glanced back at Brady. "I'm guessing the Capitol has some food set out for you in the dining car just about now. If you're hungry, I can show you where it is." Wait a second, was this the first time on his life that Grant wasn't much in the mood for talking. Nope. Ever since the Games. This was just another reason Grant hated the Capitol.

(Aghhh where did my muse for you go, Grant? Explain, Fishboy. Nowwww D=<

And how about we begin to view the Reapings?)

~Grace~

Grace looked expectantly up at her mentor, wanting to hear her input. But, she shyed away, flinching, as Josslyn spoke with an icy tone. Slowly, the girl looked back up, nodding at just the same speed to agree with what Josslyn said about the Games. "Nice word choice." She said sheepishly. At Josslyn's grateful nod, Grace didn't respond, unsure how to. Then came her mentor's second answer. I'll keep not of this. She thought, gripping her trembling hands. Grace couldn't help but look over at Hershi. Trust him? He's so big... and he could squash me like a mosquito if he wanted to. This only added to her fear. And, when would it be needed to kill? A moment later, she saw the escort wave them into the train. "Yes mam." She said to Josslyn, wishing she could hold Dylan's hand. Her eyes became damp, and it was all she could do not to cry. Save it for when nobody's watching. Another thought came to her mind. Near a whisper, she asked two questions. "Josslyn, are you happy you don't have to pretend to be in love wit the District Four boy anymore? Or, do you have to now that you're going back? I'm sorry if you have to pretend again."

(Let's wait for Midnight before District 4 reviews Reaping. I'll hold off on Braden until tomorrow XD)

Josslyn had barely noticed Grace's symptoms of nerves and her obvious fear and slight distrust of Hershi. What snapped her back was her two questions. Her hands clenched into fusts, and Hershi got a glance at the pained expression on his sister's face before excusing himself to the bathroom to wash up before dinner. Composing herself, her expression turned neutral again as she looked down at Grace. "Don't be sorry because I wasn't pretending. Now, run along and wash up for dinner before the escort scolds you for bad manners." The auburn-haired girl was obviously annoyed by the tribute's question, looking away to hide the pain in her blue eyes. "I won't be joining you for dinner, but I'll be there to watch the other Reapings." With that, she headed for her room.

Paisly

She sat in a fancey, calm room. The amotions seemed to change as her family started to arive. Yet there is only her older and younger brothers. Her older brother, is strong and fearless, but when he came in, tears had filled his eyes. Paisly reached up and wiped the tears from his cheek her face strong. They said nothing, just the thoughts they seemed to exchange. When the peacekeeper came to excort him out, they held tight. The peacekeepers tared him from her. She waited for her little brother the tentions in the room were set high.

Andrew

He slumped in the worn, but aligent chair. His face showed no amotion, he was torn by the whole thing. The peacekeepers let his little sister in, and she dashed to him tears in her eyes. He held her close and closed his eyes taking in her sweet sent for the last time. She smelt of farm, and of a humid summery breeze. He released her and stared in her eyes, "Stay strong" he told her. She nooded slightly her blond cury hair bounced in a ripple of curls. Then she was gone torn from his arms, and he was once again alone.

(I will not be on much as well. I'm assuming we can start the Reapings... but maybe we should wait for Vine, considering she plays the District 4 male.)

~Grace~

Grace tilted ehr head to the side, confused. She wasn't pretending? The girl barely took notice of Josslyn's command to wash up for dinner, but her body still followed the motions. She nodded as her mentor explained that she wouldn't be there for dinner. Then, the girl entered her room, stopping dead in her tracks. "Beautiful," She whispered to herself. "Absolutely beautiful." And, for that moment, she forgot about the Games. It was a pleasant moment, but it still haunted her mind that the Capitol made this room for tributes on their way to the Capitol. It was just that thought alone that brought her back to reality. The girl trained her eyes on the ground, not wanting to get entranced by the scenery, and walked into her bathroom. Even there, it was hard to contain focus. With the high-tech shower and so many buttons which purposes were unknown, Grace knew she would have to figure this amazing place out. Snap out of it. Josslyn ordered you to wash up for dinner. The girl went to the glimmering sink and turned the knob, water beginning to leak out of the faucet. She cupped her hands, letting the liquid fall into them, and splashed some on her face. She brushed through her hair, and looked around to see if there was anything else she should add to this routine. Doesn't look like there's anything...
