"Thanks, you should have some too." Rulie took the plant stem and started to suck on it, not trusting her stomach to hold anything. She pet Char on the head. "Char, you almost got chared." She laughed a horas laugh at her little joke, then remembering where she was stopped and looked around.

Josslyn blinked and actually looked at Grant. She gave him a small nod, calming down a little. Her arms hurt, really bad. The only thing she could actually feel. And it felt like it was spreading. She attempted a word, but no sound came out. Crap.

Alou shivered in her sleep, occasionally thrashing. A few sounds slipped out of her mouth, some surprising, some not. 'Adrian' and 'Addy where the most popular. However, 'Cecil' was also muttered. A few times, the wolf next to her would stirr. Wolves, like most forest creatures, where hypervigilant when sleeping. Addy was no exception.

I frowned softly, turning to the smoke. Upon hearing the cannon, I instinctively moved closer to Blake's side, scared. I noticed what I was doing and bit my lip, moving away slightly. "Sorry," I murmured, looking down at the ground.

Grant let a small smile slip as Josslyn responded to his voice. At least she could hear him. She opened her mouth as if she was going to speak, but nothing came out. Grant pursed his lips. Hopefully that was just a part of the treatment. "Just mouth the words."

It hurts, Josslyn mouths, frowning. Now a sudden headache. What had they put into her? She clawed at the bandages on her arms feebly, failing to actually even rip them.
