"I assume Nameless is Addy?" Jace sat down, having stopped to empty his stomach on the way back. He wiped vomit from his mouth, the poisons of the smoke still clouding his mouth nose and eyes. He coughed. "I am really sorry you know." He vaguly remembered Brandon from the first day at the training center, they had agreed on an alliance.

'Nameless, Addy, Nym. She has many names, I guess.' Alou said, shrugging as she began to pack another bag. This one was food, dried meats, fruits, and other odds and ends. She rolled her eyes as he vomited. 'It wasn't your fault. My idea to ignite the tree. Should have just waited them out.' She said, looking at a piece of jerky, before grabbing it and taking a bite.

"Oops..sorry." Anna said, eyes dropping to the branch. "Yeah, the one your dad gave you. We always cut fruit with it in the trees." she said, jumping down from the tree. She searching the ground, picking some healing plants for the open cut that would ease the pain, stop the burning, and close it up. Climbing back up swiftly, faltering on her wounded arm, she sat back down by Char and Rulie. She unwrapped the bandage, wiping away the burn cream and chewing the leaves up into a small mush. Spitting it out, she rubbed it into the wound. "There." she said, wrapping it back up once more and sitting back. She stroked Char, but looked down for a moment after thinking. "Fluke gene cats are supposed to be the most intelligent mutts. Monkeys are confused easily, wolves become too friendly to other tributes, and dogs are easily mesmerized by flames. Cats know what's a poisonous plant and when to run in a fire but he'll stay by your side he knows that his owners have died. Likely they can sit and mourn for a few days, but if you make a parting gesture, they'll know to leave." she said, smiling crookedly.

"Take it easy, we have to get to smoke out of our systems." He coughed, and took a bottel of water from the pile, his eyes still burning. He took a big drink, feeling the water slide down his throat, leaving a slightly cleaner trail behind. He held out the bottle to her, not knowing if she would take it, just trying to help.

Rulis sighed as the burning eased and looked at little Char. "Well he's been a good addition to the alliance so far." She smiled and leaned against the tree, coughing and closing her eyes. The smoke was killing the trees over by where she had killed the boy, and she was still getting all of it out of her system. She leaned over and vomited the berries and fish.

Mimosa Tanager
|District 10|Female|Age 18

Even though she was still more than exhausted, that her muscles throbbed and cramped painfully with each footfall from all the jogging she had performed yesterday and the lugging of that gigantic tan bag, she had started moving as soon as she became coherent enough to move her legs. Tying the long straps of that backpack around her waist and shifting the (thankfully) padded quiver, alternating between shoulders. She wanted to take-perhaps a small orange pack, or maybe that light green pack, but the biggest seemed to be the best, and ever since Mimosa’s obtained it, she’s sort of already promised herself that she won’t open it while still moving. Bigger means more supplies, but she didn't open anything just yet. All she knew right now is that she was carrying pockets full of little unknown gadgets, the tan pack,multi-purpose knife, and the bow and arrows. Stupid-stupid-stupid- she should have chosen more wisely-it’s because of the dehydration she was feeling this way. Her tongue was already parched, and just swallowing was enough to bring together the feeling of dehydration-induced nausea.

Suddenly, she felt her foot slip. Her leg jolts forwards and she let out a yelp in alarm as the realization of the ground becoming slick and icy dawned on her. Throwing her hands forwards instinctively and hitting the strong ground hair, she realized that the hands she had thrown forwards to protect herself were burning against the freezing cold of the ground beneath her. That was when the realization dawned on her: she had landed in a neutral-looking cornucopia, only to jog towards autumy weather, and now as she’s kept walking, not even noticing that the scarlet and golden leaves were falling from baring branches and the ground was starting to grow frosty-this-this was an arena-that is modeled after seasons, isn’t it?

Mimosa was usually quite the pessimist when it comes to these things, but for the first time in ages, she found herself biting back a grin from taking away the usually stern and gray-faced look on her pallid visage. She’s always loved the autumn-why not backtrack there, set up camp, and call it a day? She loved autumn; some of her best memories were elusively from the cool season. She could completely understand when people referred to autumn as the time where animals die, where they have to harvest and get loads of work, but autumn was one of the prettiest times of the year, in her opinion. Summer was too hot. Winter was too cold. Spring was too rainy. Some may also say, but it was a matter of preference for Mimosa. Even then, she knew that the idea had to be dismissed. She’s been walking the whole time, and if she’s just come from the autumn sector and was now in the winter sector, then there would be guaranteed spring sector. And as much as she just admired autumn for its aesthetics and feel of relaxation, she knew that the spring quarter would being about the best chances of finding food and shelter. Autumn was no place for such thing. With the encouraging thought on her mind, Mimosa started to trek forwards, hopelessly persistent as her cheeks and her eyes started to water and sting with the fresh coldness of the arena.

"Good. Your first appointment is tonight, Palm Minket's house," Snow grinned deviously, handing Grant the piece of paper with the address on it. "You better be there; she paid quite enough for you. And I will know if you showed up or not." He ignored Grant's questions as two guards grabbed the boy, escorting him to a different building and back into the mentors' lounge.

Grant took the slip, and only a moment later did reality sink in. "Wait, what? You already got a customer? How long were you planning thi-" By that time, Grant was out of the room. He was seated in the mentor's lounge, and stared blankly at the ground. "Can I talk to Josslyn?" He asked quietly. This was possibly an even worse feeling than preparing to kill Josslyn in the 83rd Games!

One guard looked down at Grant, taking a moment to remember orders. "President Snow is not allowing anyone to see Josslyn until she is healthy; well-fed, hydrated, and well rested. That could take a week or more, but visitors should be allowed to see her after the first week. President Snow told me to warn any visitors that Josslyn will not be herself during the time of recovery."

"Well, can I at least get a VIP pass to see her or something? After all, I am doing what your dictator says." Grant asked, taking a pause to think over something the guards said. "What do you mean by, 'she won't be herself'...?" A moment later, eh totally turned the topic around. "How long was Snow planning to force me into this? I mean, he already had a customer and everything..."

"By orders of President Snow, the guards watching over Josslyn have to refuse visitors at this time. If you have a question about her mental health, go ask a doctor at the clinic and I'm sure they will be able to answer you. As for your last question, I cannot answer and do not have permission to say. Anymore questions should be brought up with President Snow." With that, the guards briskly walked out and left. Cecil looked over to Grant, blue eyes flashing.
