I ran as fast as I could, dirt and small rocks flying behind me. My elgs ached, my lungs and chest hurts, and I panting for breath. My destination, my destination was so close yet so far. Just a third of a mile away, but wasn't sure if wuld be able to make it before I collasped or the monsters got to me. The monster, I could hear its breath on my neck, thepanting of it's hot breathing in my ears. I dared not to look behind and see how close it was to me. It was a spinxs, the monster that had been chasing after me for two days now, barely allowing me a moment of rest, or to let me eat. A half of a mile now to Camp Half-Blood. I could feel it in my gut, pulling me to it, dirrecting me. My breath was short and raggedy, barely giving me the oxygen I needed. My lungs felt like they where on fire, burning and reaching their maximinity.'A quater left, I-I can make it....' I murmured in my head, seeing the hill, seeing a giant pine tree, seeing....the Golen Fleece in it? The spinx growled at me, swiping a clawed pa/hand at my throat. I ducked, one claw just scraping my right ear. "Ju-just 300 fe-feet now." I gasped out to myself, my legs wanting to stop and giveway. I mental foced them not to, adding extra speed. "Al-most th-their!" I gasped out, now just 100 feet away rom the entrance. I heard an enraged roar and was knocked to the ground, claws ripping into my back. Blood splattering everywhere. "AAAAH-OOO!!!" I howled, rolling away from the monster. I scrambled to get up, my back screaming in pain, dripping blood to the grass. I dripped my left hand into a fist, and made a sweeping motion with my arm, sending a wave of powerful air to the monster. Using my magic to do so. That set him flying back and knocked him to the ground, stunning him. I hobbsled my way to the entrance, knowing that time was not in my favor. I do believe I was screaming in Greek "HELP!",and sensing ad hearing the spinxs getting up at charging at me. I was to weak from running and using a meager amount of magic to defend myself pperly. If no one helped me, you might as well say good by.
