Skyla couldn't see Lee behind her, and grinned to herself. Chances were she was probably winning, or otherwise she would have noticed herself being overtaken. Not it was time for her to attempt to break the sound barrier. Flattening out her wings, she duck her head down, to make herself more streamlined. The air whoosed past her face, and began covering her. She was doing it. Her grin broke out even wider, and she darted forwards. Now was the crucial part. She would either break through this shell she had created, or would bounce backwards. She could feel herself breaking through, and then...
Either she had lost her focus slightly, or she had reduced speed, but Skyla bounced back, going backwards in the other direction. She tried to steady herself, but couldn't. She had broken the barrier, but in the wrong direction, it seemed, as she was hurtling backwards. A blur whizzed past her, which could have been Lee, but she wasn't too sure. As Skyla came closer to the ground, she slowed down a little, but not that much, and fell trough somebody's roof.

Looking up from the corner, Dylan saw that his roof had caved in, and some sort of dragon hybrid was on top of the pile. She jumped up, and looked around.
"Oh good, I'm alive!" she cried, before jumping up and trying to fly away. Dylan coughed, and she flew back down again.
"You broke my roof." he snapped gruffly, folding his arms.
"Um, sorry about that but I'm racing somebody. So, bye!" Grumbling, Dylan sat back down in the corner and looked at the pile of mess.
"Well, your race can wait. How am I meant to get out of my house?" Sighing, Skyla flew over, picked him up and lifted him out of the house. However, she wasn't exactly the strongest person in the world, and as she hovered above the road, fell again, both of them landed in a pile.
"I'm fragile goods, you know." Dylan hissed, standing up. "So don't go round dropping me." Skyla sighed, and stood up as well, dusting herself off. As he walked off, he could hear her following him.
"What are you doing?" he growled.
"Making sure you're OK." Skyla replied, folding her arms. "Or otherwise you'll be moaning at that, too." He turned away, mumbling to himself. Today was defiantly not his day.
