The water was getting too cold, even for Vetch, and he slowly dragged himself out of the water. "I have no idea, but you can check my pack." And with that sentence to Nick, the district four boy limped off towards Jewl. Slowly, he mad ehis way into the cave and settled down beside her, just sitting on top of the sleeping bag. "Hey, Jewl." His voice was a little strangled, because his leg had started throbbing painfully.

Rose sighed, but said nothing. She scaled a nearby tree, and snapping down some branches, she started a small fire. She built a little "Lid" over it to keep the smoke from rising, but, as an extra percaution, she had her bow drawn. She put the fish on a stick, and began to roast it.

Jewl flipped to face him"Your feel warm."she snuggled closer"Are you sick or is it me?"Jewl put her head on his shoulder so she could see his face better.

As they neared the camp, Jackie said. "Whats your district like?"

Angelina bit her lip before replying. "It's not as luxirious as District 1, but its still pretty fancy. Everyone is trained since they can walk, and some of the best students that don't volunteer in the reaping become Peacekeepers..."

Vetch cuddled closer to her, staring at the falling darkness outside. He was shivering. "I'm fine." He lied, then added, "It's not you." His trident laid beside his unwounded leg, easily in reach.

A twig cracked, Rose's head turned sharply twords the sound. A knife shot out of no were, hitting Rose in the leg. She bit back a schreach of pain. the Boy from District 5 came out, Rose immediatly grabbed her arrow, and shot him straight in the neck. He fell, dead. The cannon sounded, but she took no notice. The pain her her leg was excrutiating. She let out a gasp of pain, and struggled to stauch the flow of blood from the wound.

She kissed his forehead"Hmph.You are bleeding!"She pulled his leg out and wrapped it with moss"All better."she pecked his lips

Vetch laughed, shaking his head as the moss started reddening. When Jewl pecked him on the lips, he held her closer for longer than usual, then released her. "I feel like I'm going to bleed to death..." He paused, pondering on whether he should continue. "Do you think that the gamemakers will let us stay so peaceful?" He asked in a hushed voice.

Jewl snorted"Doubt it!Soon."Jewl pressed closer"I'll miss you when I'm dead."

Vetch snorted in agreement, "I'll die first, I'm betting. You know what would be weird? If you had to wear what you did for the opening ceremony." He tried to lighten the mood, for he was relatively content here.
