Jason's ears twitched and he sneezed slightly, which turned into coughing that shook his entire body. He opened his eyes and looked around, his vision blurred. Jason shivered, he was cold and he felt like he was about to vomit.

Irene frowned slightly and her ears flickered forward, rubbing the back of her head. "Oh... Alright." she said, flashing a smile at Raphael.

Kai woke to the sound of his coughing and sat up, looking over at him and crawling over. Her ears laid back and she touched his forehead. He was burning up. She looked around for a blanket, or something useful and settled for a large thick jacket discarded on the road and wrapped it around him. She wrapped her arms around him, offering her warmth and hoped he was going to be alright. Kai would leave the next day while he was recovering and try to find some work to at LEAST pay for a hotel room.

Jason coughed again, but he covered his mouth with his fist. He smiled gratefully at Kai and pulled her close, closing his eyes. "Don't we still have that apartment I rented?" Jason asked, his voice quiet and weak. "I paid for a few months of rent..."

"Yes- but I don't think we can get there with you like this..." she signed with a frown. "Do you think you could try and get there?" she asked, hoping he said yes.

Jason drew in a deep breath and pushed himself up to his feet, but he had to put a hand on the wall. "I can make it..." he said, his ears pressing back against his head.

She stood up and put his arm around her shoulder, telling him he could use her for support and started walking slowly. Her ear laid back and she exhaled warm air into the frozen world around them, and signed, "Jason, I want to be normal." and frowned, walking on. "I want us both to be normal... then we'd be happy."

"We've found a shelter, now what do we do?" inquired Raphael.

"It's impossible..." Jason said softly under his breath, glancing down at the ground. "Though, it would be lovely to be human." he mumbled, grinning slightly.

Irene shrugged slightly and then bit into her lower lip slightly, looking around. "We could find something to eat..." she suggested, looking up at Raphael with large eyes.

"But... what if it is possible? If we go back to the lab..." she started to sign, her hopes getting higher as she walked on, helping him cross the snowy street. Her ears laid back and she smiled, wondering if he'd agree... but it wasn't likely... those at the lab would say anything to get them back.
