She ran down a flight of stairs, then another and another. She knew where she could find someone else. Someone to understand. She ran infront of cars and through alleyways. She had found it. A large care home for orphans and children. She trotted over to the big red door. It looked more like a mental asylum than somewhere for kids and teens to live. She frowned at the graffiti covered sign before hammering on the large door. A small child answered it. "Hello there young lady." The child looked at her and swore. "I'm sixteen!" She screamed. Renee frowned at the girl. "Sorry. I'm here for a girl with black hair." She had to stop herself from laughing. What kind of introduction was that?

Gaby, one of the little brats of this house came up to tell Maya she had a visitor, confused she ran down the steps Gaby was following so she stopped suddenly, so suddenly Gaby almost ran into her. "what do you want you told me now you can go to your room don't follow me" Gaby snorted at her so Maya bared her teeth at her, which were more like panthers then humans, and let out a menacing hiss. Gaby looked taken aback and scared but it had worked she ran down the rest of the stairs UN-followed. At the door she saw a girl who looked strangely familiar. "hi" Maya said to the girl confused 'who is this' she thought

"I'm Renee. Come we need to talk." She said. Her voice sounded genuinly sad but she only wanted to find everyone with ears and a tail so she could maybe put a stop to it. "To the woods. You like deer? I caught one last night." She bared her teeth and looked at the moon so her eyes sparkled. Her ears flopped backwards a little and her tail hung elegantly finishing just before her thighs end. "Somehow I feel we'll be doing alot of disappearing into the night with other tailed beings."

Maya thrashed her tail, she had purposely worn a long skirt today she liked to look normal for at least a week after moving to a new home so she did not have to change homes too often only twice a month instead of six or seven times. "yes i do like deer and my name is Maya." She said as they walked to the woods, she did not even care if anyone saw them leaving the house she would be out of here again in a few days anyway, the longest she had ever lasted in a home was five months and that was how long it took after she was born for her mother to give her up for adoption.

She scoffed slightly. "Who doesn't like deer?" She paused infront of the forest. "Here is my forest. Yes it is mine and nobody else's." She smirked. Everything was here's. That's the way she liked it. "Let's go get dinner."

"lets" Maya said taking off her skirt, underneath she had a pair of cut-off sweat pants on with a hole in the back for her tail to come out, hanging her skirt on a tree where nobody would take it she went on tracking for a deer with her strange new friend.

"There!" She grabbed the girls hand and walked over to a dead deer. "We'll get another when we've finished." She sat on a rock nearby and looked at the moon again. "Dig in. We aren't going back to that house so we better get our strength up." She sighed. The sky was dark and if you thought hard enough you could imagine something magical like a unicorn or a pegasus rearing up infront of you. It was strange. A forest on the edge of scenice nowhere. She stood up. "Stay here. I'll come back for you." SHe jumped into the forest.

The colour's were a blur as she sprinted through the tree's. There was something in there. Something strange. Whatever it was it seemed important for the two girls. She wondered whether she should have taken the other girl with her. But something was telling her that the girl would follow any way. She thought so much she lost her concentration and slipped. She shrieked.

Maya had followed the girl, she did not like getting told what to do, so when the other girl fell she darted forward and grabbed her heal just in time to use it to swing her so that she could grab a branch behind Maya.

"Thanks!" She said it politely but not really bothered about the other girl. "Now there's normally a few edible things over here." She lead the girl across the forest and towards a stream. "Keep low. The deer's drink here." She whispered. Almost as soon as she had said that a deer came over. Renee leapt up and pounced. When she turned around her mouth was dripping with fresh blood. "Dinner is served." She threw it at the floor infront of the girl.

Maya jumped to the ground and dug in, literally, using her claws and teeth to rip it apart, purposely splattering LOTS of blood on herself. she had to go back to her house to get her stuff, so she would have fun with it!
