Kaile sat in her cage, glaring at everything around her. Her dark wings were wrapped around her body in a posture that was meant to be intimidating, but she guessed it probably didn't do much to scare anyone, after all, she was smaller than almost everyone here. Her long, silky brown hair cascaded over her shoulder and made its way out the cage door in a long train. She decided to pull it back in so one of those so-called scientists wouldn't step on it during feeding time.
Kane sat in his cell, his ears laid back and his tail swishing back and forth. He didn't like being trapped. He almost hissed in his anger. He absolutely despised this place. The scientists didn't even think he was human! Good grief, the people who run this place are MORONS, he thought.
Dr. Zane puttered around the section of the lab that had been dedicated to new inventions. He was almost finished with his ray gun, and he would soon present it to Melrose. He knew she would like a new way to torture the scum that everyone called experiments. They weren't even worthy of that name. They should be called rodents, or better yet, insects, he thought, an evil grin spreading across his face.
