The 31st hunger games accepting! Not accepting tributes

"Has no one noticed how bizarre this whole situation is?" Velvet practically shouted, throwing her arms out wide "There can only be one winner! Something has obviously gone wrong somewhere! This should never have happened!" Her brain couldn't add up the details of what was happening as it all seemed so confusing. She thought she was going to die! How could she still be alive?

Tony's eyes widened and he thumped down beside her. "You're right! And besides, where would we go? If anyone knows where the heck we are, I'd be a little more optimistic, but where the h**l are we, anyways?"

"How am I supposed to know?" Velvet snapped. She ran a hand through her now filthy hair. Why couldn't she be back at her school in eight? She needed to be sat in a classroom with a pen and paper to figure this out. However she found the next best thing. Finding a twig on the ground, she started to sketch pictures in the dirt, her mind coming alive as she drew cartoon pictures of all the tributes

Tony pointed at te little cartoon picture with hair over its face. "Look, it's me! I am officially a cartoon character. I want twenty percent of your profit." He smiled, but then realized how hard Velvet was concentrating and shut up.

[Gui-Chi]

Velvet shot Tony a quick look before carrying on with her drawing. She did it to think, her mind wasn't on the cartoons but flying through all the current possibilities as to why the arena had broken. Just as she finished off the girl from twelve, she sighed and put the twig down "I give up!"

"On making an award winning comic book?" Tony asked, genuinely confused. (wb I'm eating. Not the best at multitasking)

[Gui-Chi]

"On trying to figure out how and why this all happened!" Velvet exclaimed. "I just wasted my time drawing terrible cartoons of everyone with no result" she then started to look grumpy, tired and irritated "Useless"

Tony shook his head. "Don't think about it. Just wait and see what happens." He took her hand in a friendly way and tried to comfort her. "It'll get better. The only thing we have to think about is the fact that we are alive and there is that miracle chance that the six of us will make it out alive." He glanced over at the couple a little ways off, and the guy standing and glaring at them from a little farther away. He noticed Saphira from his District, but he didn't know the others. "Asa is dead.." He muttered to himself, looking back at the devastated arena.

"So's Hiro" Velvet thought out loud "At least he can't feel pain anymore" she mused, getting to her feet ignoring Tony's hand when he took hers in his. She felt numb, Her boyfriend was dead. Her world had come crashing down before her just like the arena had not that many minutes ago

Tony let go of her and looked at the ground. "That was the reason we joined each other. So you and Julie could find Hiro..." He furrowed his eyebrows, pain filling his heart at the thought of losing Rulie. "I'm so sorry, Velvet. I thought we could find him... Or at least keep you guys alive long enough to go look for him. I'm sure Julie sure does believe that, wherever she is." He said in a sarcastic, bitter tone. "None of us are going to be the same, even if we do live."
